Don’t let Omar catch you!

Meet .perez12 . He’s starting DEAD LAST in the Ridgefield Half Marathon. For every runner that he passes, CT Run Co. will donate $2 to The Iris Fund. So this Sunday you’ve got two choices: run like he’s chasing you, or let him fly by you and know you just helped raise money for a great cause. Honestly, it’s a win either way!

So keep an eye out for Omar this Sunday. If he goes by you, cheer him on! The Iris Fund thanks you!

Today we spoke about the U.S. Pregnancy after Loss Network at the 2026 Stillbirth Symposium hosted by .

Our panel discussion tacked the “why” this network is important and “how” to do this work in practice to an incredible audience of MFMs, clinicians, nurses, social workers, advocates, researchers, patients and more.

A huge thank you to ’s Dr. Hayley Miller, MFM and Beth Chapin, RN for joining USPAL Network representatives ’s Stacey Fletcher and ’s Brittney Crystal to speak about how this network can turn evidence and best practice into scalable care approaches.

“Stillbirth is not rare; talking about it is.” - Fernanda Sheridan, one of the founders of the and founder of .

Thanks to for an inspiring few days. Thanks to Zan Leisher, Stacey Fletcher, Sarah Lopez and Caroline Moore for making these events a success and to all the member clinics who are part of our network or on their way to joining our network for believing in our collective goals.

BERLIN MARATHON — MARATHON #5 FOR IRIS! 🏃‍♀️🇩🇪💜

Huge congratulations to Iris’s aunt on completing her FIFTH marathon for Iris and this time, taking it all the way to Berlin! 🙌

We’re so grateful for every mile, every cheer, every donation, and every person who helped get her to that finish line.

Five marathons. One incredible commitment to Iris and to the work of the Iris Fund. 🌎🏃‍♀️💜

Thank you for showing up and running with us — Berlin was pretty special! 🇩🇪

The day before the Marathon, I held a premie who was born 8 weeks early. While I was holding him, he was at a gestational age of just 2 weeks old. It wasn’t until that night when I was doing my final preps for the marathon that I realized how full circle of a moment that was. I got to hold the reason why we run - we run for these little humans and mommas who deserve better.

Yes, a marathon is very hard and yes, it hurts like hell but it doesn’t nearly compare to what families have to go through when they have a premature child. We have to do better as a society.

So a big heartfelt thank you to all the people who donated - we want a better outcome for everyone.

And to future marathoners, find a baby and hold them while they’re sleeping the day before - it will really clam your nerves 🥰

Five marathons down, five times for Iris 💜.

Thank you to the ISUOG International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology for making space for an important conversation on embedding the patient experience in maternal health research.

I was so honored to Chair a panel with a dream team of Ivan Rosado-Mendez Debbie Haine Vijayvergiya Ghazia Saleemi and Sara Thomas.

To borrow a line from Debbie “never underestimate the power of a motivated mother.”

Thanks to all who attended and again- thanks to the incredible panel!!

We had an incredibly insightful session led by patient advocate Brittney Crystal, scan demonstrations from Dr Enrique Gil Guevara and Prof. Monique Haak, and many other impactful lectures and e-posters!

At the end of the day our lovely NGen Committee members met for NGen daily digest no.2 to summarise their highlights from the day. Be sure to join NGen tomorrow for another one of these wrap up discussions.

See you tomorrow for more of the latest research and education in ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology!
