Wisconsin voters want a balanced approach to cleaner, reliable, and affordable energy.

In a new WisPolitics of State Affairs op-ed, our Wisconsin Chair, former Wisconsin Secretary of Revenue Peter Barca, highlights findings from our latest polling and outlines why he believes the next governor and legislature should prioritize solutions that will keep energy affordable, strengthen grid reliability, reduce emissions, and support investment and good-paying jobs.

In the Financial Times, our Co-Chair, former Rep. Tim Ryan, discusses the growing shift among Democrats toward a more pragmatic energy strategy, including Texas U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico.

“The reality is if we’re going to handle the AI boom and we want re-industrialisation . . . then you have to provide the power,” says Rep. Ryan.

What happens when all-or-nothing energy policies collide with the basic economics of supply and demand?

On the latest episode of Switchboard, former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Progressive Policy Institute’s Neel Brown discuss how rigid energy policies can drive up costs, limit supply, and undermine efforts to reduce emissions.

Natural Allies was proud to sponsor the 2026 Gulf Coast Energy Forum: Building Connections. Powering Opportunity, hosted by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana.

Our Co-Chair, former Sen. Mary Landrieu, moderated a fireside chat on positioning Louisiana for the next economy, exploring opportunities for economic growth, investment, and energy development.

Our New York Co-Chair Ruben Diaz Jr. also delivered a keynote address during the forum’s breakfast plenary, highlighting the Gulf Coast’s role in America’s energy future and the economic opportunities for Hispanic communities.

Thank you to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana for bringing together leaders from across the energy and business communities for important conversations about advancing affordable, reliable energy, creating jobs, and strengthening economic opportunity.

With Democrats projected to gain seats this November, Progressive Policy Institute Managing Director Neel Brown warns against missing a critical opportunity for bipartisan permitting reform.

His message? Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.

In a new op-ed, Brown makes the case for bipartisan compromise to streamline permitting for natural gas, renewables, and critical transmission infrastructure, helping accelerate energy development, strengthen grid reliability, and address rising electricity costs.

Read why Brown believes meaningful permitting reform is essential to America’s energy future:

In 1974, Democrats made one of the greatest legislative blunders of the 20th century when they decided to reject Richard Nixon’s surprise offer to pass a universal health insurance plan.

As families across America grapple with rising energy costs, how can we ensure Black communities aren't left behind?

“We need a policy on energy that...is all-of-the-above,” stresses Congressman Steven Horsford, former Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus.

On the latest episode of Switchboard, former Rep. Kendrick Meek sits down with Congressman Horsford to discuss how to tackle the affordability crisis and meet the needs of Black families.

Did you know Pennsylvania is the nation’s second-largest producer of natural gas?

Natural gas is a driving force behind the Commonwealth’s energy economy:

⚡ Powers nearly 60% of Pennsylvania’s electricity
🌎 Has helped reduce the state’s carbon emissions by 37% from 2013 to 2023 with the switch from coal to natural gas
đź‘· Supports approximately 123,000 Pennsylvania jobs
đź’° Contributes more than $41 billion in annual economic activity

Pennsylvania’s energy future depends on balance. By working together, natural gas and renewables can deliver the affordable, reliable energy families and businesses depend on while supporting jobs, economic growth, and continued emissions reductions.

Earlier this month, we had the opportunity to address the Empire Baptist Missionary Convention, which represents 500 churches from Long Island to Buffalo, to discuss the energy affordability challenges facing New York families and communities and the importance of access to affordable, reliable energy.

Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation! We look forward to continuing these important discussions with churches and faith leaders across the state about the need for an all-of-the-above energy approach that advances New York’s climate goals while ensuring families and businesses have access to the affordable, reliable energy they depend on.

Affordability is front and center for American families this election.

“Yes, climate is important, but what’s really important is paying…your electric bills,” says former Sen. Mary Landrieu.

On our special election edition of Switchboard, former Sen. Mary Landrieu and former Gov. Terry McAuliffe discuss why they believe Democrats must put affordability at the forefront of their agenda, including embracing a pragmatic, all-of-the-above energy approach that advances climate goals while delivering affordable, reliable power.

As Gov. McAuliffe puts it: “If you don’t have a good energy policy, you’ll pay a price at the polls.”

“Energy bills in America have gone up 40% since 2020, and the reason for that has been the lack of ability to get energy infrastructure built.”

Last month at the New York Stock Exchange All-In Summit 2026 in Los Angeles, EQT Corporation President and CEO Toby Z. Rice joined Kristen Scholer to discuss why permitting reform is critical to building the energy infrastructure America needs to lower costs and ensure reliable, affordable energy.
