It's no secret, we're falling for Ruby Kiss! 😘

At only 4 years old, this 16.2 HH Thoroughbred mare with our partner, Healing Heroes Through Horsemanship in California, is already showing maturity and steadiness beyond her years. Ruby is exceptionally sweet-natured, level-headed and quietly confident, approaching new situations with thoughtfulness rather than tension. This girl is a dream on the ground and has proven to be willing, uncomplicated and consistent in her work under saddle. Ruby would make a wonderful partner for sports disciplines and would thrive with someone who would continue to develop her foundation while allowing her natural confidence and willingness to shine.

Even though it's the tail end of Month, we're still celebrating all things equine adoption! Learn how you can take Ruby Kiss home using the link below, and if you can't adopt, share this video to help find her person 🧡

Despite citing Century Farm Puppies FORTY times for horrible animal welfare issues, the USDA has taken NO action to help the dogs kept there. Pictured here are just a few of the hundreds of dogs that have lived, and suffered, at this Iowa puppy mill.

We submitted an official complaint to the USDA to revoke Century Farm Puppies' license, and you can take action too! Please urge your members of Congress to support Goldie's Act, a bill that would require the USDA to take action in cases like these: aspca.org/goldiesact

This Month, we teamed up with Noah Cyrus to shine a spotlight on horses, donkeys and mules in need of loving homes across the country! 🐎🧡

Noah visited ASPCA Right Horse partner Win Place Home, Inc where she spent time meeting adoptable horses, including Joker, Gendry and Fleur.

Reflecting on her visit, Noah said, “It meant so much to me, being with horses that are looking for their second chance and are up for adoption. I think it's a lot more known with smaller animals when they're up for adoption and I don’t think as many people know that that they can just drive somewhere and adopt a horse.”

Whether you adopt, foster, volunteer or share their stories, every bit of support matters.

Forever Six With One Dream That Created a Lifesaving Impact 🕊️

At just six years old, Catherine Hubbard had a powerful passion for all animals and beings. Her warm compassion was shared with all; even the smallest butterflies were greeted and welcomed by her friendship.

Catherine had one dream: to protect and make every creature feel safe. Tragically, her life was cut short when she was one of 20 children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. Today, her dream continues to make a difference in countless lives.

To honor her legacy, the Hubbard family created the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary in Newtown, Connecticut. A sanctuary committed to protecting animals, educating people and nurturing the environment — all guided by Catherine's love for living things.

In 2013, Catherine was posthumously named the ASPCA Kid of the Year for her profound love and compassion for animals.

A decade later, this dream has blossomed into a large celebration known as Catherine's Butterfly Party, an event that honors her kindness, has changed thousands of lives and found homes for 1,500+ deserving animals.

On June 6, 2026, we will continue to support her legacy and celebrate with Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary at their 10th annual Catherine's Butterfly Party! Please join us in Newtown, Connecticut, to celebrate a decade of bringing love home 🧡 Learn more about the event here: https://bit.ly/4feRQkP

Orion is truly the gentlest giant we've ever met 🧡

We all have a soft spot for those slightly timid, oh so sweet pups, and NYC adoptable Orion is the definition of just that. Many look for that outgoing dog who will run right up and choose them, and while that may not be Orion, he's no less deserving of being chosen. Orion may be a little nervous meeting new people, but his calm, loving demeanor shines through once he gets to know you. Soon, you'll be rewarded with a goofy, happy pup who loves sniffy walks and playtime.

Take a chance on the quiet dog looking back at you from their kennel and learn more about sweet Orion and his other adoptable pals by using the link below.

A last-minute chance turned into a lifetime of love 🧡

When Bud's previous owners fell ill and could no longer care for him, his next chapter was suddenly uncertain. Luckily, the 28-year-old Missouri Fox Trotter found himself at our ASPCA Right Horse Partner, MSPCA-Angell at Nevins Farm. Staff wanted him to gain weight so he could reach his ideal body condition, but in the meantime, Bud found himself with an incredible opportunity to find his new person at Equine Affaire, Inc. (Official).

While the MSPCA staff didn't originally intend to bring Bud to the 4-day horse adoption extravaganza, the opportunity presented itself after two of their other horses couldn't handle the environment. It was there that he caught Amber's eye, who initially wasn't interested in an older horse. As she walked through the barn, though, she couldn't get her mind off senior Bud, quietly eating in his stall. Amber adopted Bud and picked him up the next day at Nevins Farm.

Today, Bud has settled into life at Amber's home and is an incredible companion for her adopted 31-year-old American Paint Horse, Finn. She's happy to report that Bud has gained nearly 600 pounds since his adoption, and is an absolute joy for her family, including her 6-year-old son Chase, who's been riding horses since he was a baby.

Unassuming on the outside, delightfully sweet on the inside - it's adoptable Crepe 🍰😽

Take two dashes of handsome, a sprinkle of snuggly and an ounce of chillaxin' and you'll have yourself an 8-year-old grey tabby named Crepe. This boy is a social, relaxed cat who loves to curl up in sunbeams. His ultimate delight, though? Sitting in your lap! If you look up the definition of a "lap cat", we're sure you'll find a photo of Crepe. When he's not napping or asking for pets, Crepe loves to play with springs and wand toys, and even loves interactive puzzle toys with treats inside. He's one smart c̶o̶o̶k̶i̶e̶ Crepe!

Bring that extra touch of sweetness home by adopting Crepe from our NYC Adoption Center. Learn more by visiting the link below.

CONGRESS UPDATE: The House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure just passed a massive surface transportation bill that includes a critical provision to BAN the transportation of horses for slaughter for human consumption!

Thank you to Congressman Jeff Van Drew, Congresswoman Dina Titus, Rep. Tim Burchett and Jimmy Patronis Press Office for leading this successful amendment, and Congressman Vern Buchanan for leading the SAFE Act, which this amendment was based on. More than 80% of Americans oppose this practice and the inclusion of this language in the BUILD America 250 Act brings us one step closer to permanently banning the transportation of horses for slaughter in the U.S. Learn more here: https://aspca.org/SAFEAct
