Early voting already started. Please make sure to see which poll site you can VOTE at. There are only two locals in our district. Campos Plaza at 611 East 13th Street in the East Village or Marta Valle High School at 145 Stanton Street in the Lower East Side. Please make sure to look behind the ballot to vote for Francisco Gonzalez for district leader.

If you know, then you know about this remarkable old school recreation center. It provided vital services to many immigrants and marginalized neighborhoods. As a safe space, it offered affordable amenities, sports programming, & a free pool to various commUnities. Although situated in downtown Manhattan, the center catered to diverse neighborhoods, including the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, & all the way down to the Lower East Side. Notably, the pool boasts a stunning Keith Haring mural, & the film KIDS was shot on location. Regrettably, the center has been closed since the pandemic, & demolition plans are underway. It is essential that we save the Tony Dapolito Rec Center, AKA Carmine pool
