🚨 SGN THREAT ADVISORY | FOILED MALL OF AMERICA PLOT

Federal authorities arrested an 18 year old Minnesota man accused of planning an ISIS inspired mass casualty attack at the Mall of America.

Investigators allege the suspect selected the location because he mistakenly believed it was Jewish owned.

There is currently no identified Los Angeles nexus, but the case underscores how antisemitic ideology can influence target selection and move from online extremism toward operational planning.

✈️ SGN PUBLIC SAFETY | ATTEMPTED HIJACKING

SGN is monitoring a serious aviation security incident involving Flydubai Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv.

According to authorities, the co-pilot allegedly attacked and stabbed the captain before attempting to take control of the aircraft. Passengers and crew members intervened and subdued the attacker, allowing control of the aircraft to be restored.

The aircraft landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The captain was seriously injured, several passengers sustained minor injuries, and all 174 people aboard survived.

The incident is under active investigation. Authorities are examining the motive behind the attack and the circumstances that allowed the security breach to occur.

The incident is particularly significant due to the large number of Israeli passengers aboard and the ongoing aviation security concerns affecting travel between Israel and the UAE.

🚨 YOM KIPPUR SHOOTING - GUNMAN IDENTIFIED

Authorities have released additional information regarding the gunman involved in the September 20 shooting outside the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville, Ontario, while congregants were inside for Yom Kippur services.

The gunman has been identified as Sean Ward, 29, a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces. The CAF confirmed that Ward served as an infantry soldier with Canadian Light Infantry from July 2017 until June 2022.

Ward arrived near the Shul armed with a sh***un and opened fire on Const. Jeff Smith, who had been assigned outside the Shul for security. Smith was seriously wounded but returned fire. Ward was also critically wounded and later died in hospital. No congregants inside the Shul were physically injured.

Military sources have additionally alleged that Ward previously expressed extremist conspiracy theories, including antisemitic claims.
