On September 11, Selah Dance Collective returns to the Lobero Theatre for an evening of dance, music, and theatricality featuring two distinct works:

THE STRANGER
Meredith Ventura’s contemporary dance work inspired by Albert Camus and set to the music of J.S. Bach.

BEETHOVEN’S TANGO
Internationally acclaimed tango artists Fernanda Ghi and Alfredo Minetti bring Beethoven into the world of Argentine tango.

What will you see at Summer Dance Fest?

The better question might be: what WON’T you see? ✨

This weekend’s artists move between love and grief, spectacle and intimacy, memory and identity, humor and unease.

You’ll encounter contemporary dance, ballet, tap, contortion, dance theatre, street styles, audience-guided improvisation—and work that refuses to fit neatly into any one category.

Some pieces are premieres. Some are works-in-progress. Others bring existing works into a completely new context.

That’s what Summer Dance Fest is about: bringing artists with different voices, perspectives, aesthetics, and approaches together on one stage—and giving audiences the chance to discover something they might never have seen otherwise.
