found(her): Marianne Fonseca 🇧🇷✨Gente Beauty

Before launching Gente Beauty, Marianne Fonseca spent nearly two decades building an international modeling career across some of the world’s leading fashion markets. Yet it was her Brazilian roots—and the beauty rituals she grew up with—that inspired her next chapter. Gente Beauty Mari Fonseca Taggart

Founded in 2022, Gente Beauty brings Brazil’s body-first approach to beauty to a global audience. Through innovative formulations, native Brazilian ingredients, and products inspired by lymphatic drainage rituals, the brand is redefining body care as an essential part of self-care.

But Gente Beauty is about more than skincare. It’s a celebration of confidence, culture, and community.
From ethically sourced ingredients and vegan, cruelty-free formulas to partnerships like Ponto Firme—an initiative that creates opportunities for artisans from vulnerable communities—the brand demonstrates how beauty can create meaningful impact beyond the product.

As Marianne says, “Confidence is happiness. Own your own skin.”

In this edition of , we’re spotlighting a founder who transformed her cultural heritage into a beauty brand rooted in purpose, innovation, and Brazilian pride.

Latina culture is more than a moment—it’s a movement. ✨

The numbers tell a powerful story:

💄 $23 billion in Latina beauty spending in the last 12 months, up 6% year over year
📈 $2.4 trillion in U.S. Hispanic buying power
✨ More than 16% of all U.S. beauty spending comes from Hispanic consumers
💋 Latina women spend nearly 30% more on beauty products than other consumer groups
🚀 By 2030, Latinas are projected to drive 1 in every 5 beauty purchases in the United States

But the story behind the data is about more than economic impact.

For Latina consumers, beauty is deeply connected to joy—a source of confidence, self-expression, celebration, and cultural pride. It’s how we show up for ourselves, our families, and our communities.

The brands that understand Latinas aren’t just recognizing a consumer segment—they’re embracing a community that is shaping where beauty, business, and culture go next.

The countdown to the World Cup is on. ⚽🌎

As excitement builds around football’s biggest stage, we’re celebrating the creators, artisans, and cultural leaders bringing our community to the global spotlight.

One campaign that caught our attention: adidas and Someone Somewhere partnered with more than 150 Indigenous women artisans from Puebla, México, creating a collection that honors craftsmanship, heritage, and storytelling. Through the campaign, creators helped amplify these stories, showcasing the power of culture, creativity, and representation on a world stage.

Because the World Cup is more than a game. It’s a celebration of identity, community, and the people who bring our traditions to life.

Latin America will be represented by:

🇦🇷 Argentina
🇧🇷 Brazil
🇨🇴 Colombia
🇨🇼 Curaçao
🇪🇨 Ecuador
🇲🇽 Mexico
🇵🇦 Panama
🇵🇾 Paraguay
🇺🇾 Uruguay

We’re cheering for every creator, artisan, entrepreneur, and fan showing up with pride.
