Our 2026 Member of the Year spotlight continues with Jamie Abdullah-Malizio! 🎉

As Chair of the IACP European Members Committee, Jamie dedicates her time and passion to moving the committee forward while raising awareness of important developments and changes impacting the dog training industry across Europe. She is always willing to step up and lend a hand, and that was especially evident at our recent Annual Conference in Newport Beach, where she jumped in wherever she was needed.

Jamie’s dedication, positive spirit, and willingness to support the IACP community make her a true bright light within our organization. We are proud to recognize Jamie as one of our 2026 Members of the Year!

“To me, the IACP means community, connection, and a shared commitment to always putting dogs first. ”

Our 2026 Member of the Year spotlight begins with Lora Bacharach (Lora Anne)! Lora has dedicated countless hours to the organization through serving on the board, providing educational content through the IACP webinar series, sitting on various committees, and always bringing her positive spirit to the membership. Please join us in congratulating Lora! 🎉

"Over 12 years ago, I walked into my mentor's training facility - she had a sticker in her window saying "proud member of the IACP." I politely asked - what's this? Her answer was simple - Join, they are your people. The IACP has given me purpose and a community of professionals that extends far beyond my local community. The opportunities to make a difference and to feel as if your profession is making a difference in the industry. I am honored to have been nominated and receive Member of the Year. The IACP has given me opportunities to expand as a professional member, serve on multiple committees, be a webinar speaker, serve on the board member, and be a CDT, CDTA, and PDTI certificant holder, and be an IACP Ambassador. As a mentor and one of our industry leaders in our local community, It is humbling when asked by interns, employees, and other professionals, "Hey what's that logo on your site mean?" I can answer simply - Join, they are your people."

Join us for a webinar through the IACP Webinar Series! Ariel Bacal, Founder and CEO of Unleashed Consulting will be presenting "Why Great Trainers Still Lose Sales: The Hidden Cost of Untracked Sales Calls" on October 14th at 1pm Central.

Most dog training businesses aren’t losing money because they lack leads, they’re losing money because of what happens after the phone rings. A missed follow-up, a rushed intro call, an inconsistent pitch: these silent breakdowns cost trainers clients every single week, and most owners have no idea it’s happening because no one is listening to the calls.

In this session, you'll learn:
• Why "more leads" is rarely the real growth lever for training businesses
• The most common (and costly) mistakes made on sales calls, and why they go unnoticed
• How to know if your business has a conversion problem before it shows up in your revenue
• What separates trainers who convert consistently from those who don't
