A big thank you to our NTIBN members who joined us this morning for BuyBlak Coffee with Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation!

Lachlan Wilkins, CEO of Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation, presented to NTIBN members on the organisation’s future growth plans, major projects, and investment opportunities. He also shared insights into creating opportunities for Blak businesses, strengthening partnerships, and exploring ways to support Aboriginal business growth across the Barkly region and beyond.

As one of the Northern Territory’s longest-standing Aboriginal organisations, Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation is dedicated to improving the lives of Aboriginal people in Tennant Creek and the Barkly region. Its work spans housing, community services, employment and training, health programs, and cultural preservation, guided by a strong commitment to self-determination and community-led solutions for a stronger future.

NTIBN IS LAUNCHING BUYBLAK NORTH 2027!
SEE IT. SHOP IT. SUPPLY IT.

On 9 February 2027 at the Darwin Convention Centre, we’re bringing Northern Australia’s Blak businesses together for a day of showcasing, selling and making connections.

Why BuyBlak North? Because business up here is different. Our businesses are shaped by Country, culture, community and the distances we work across. From remote makers to major contractors, we have extraordinary talent and capability - and we want more people to see it, buy it and do business with us. We are inviting our friends from the North West and North East to join us in a Northern Alliance of Blak Excellence.

There are two ways to participate:
• BuyBlak Market: Sell your products directly to visitors and meet new customers.
• Industry Showcase: Show your capability and connect with buyers, industry and potential business partners.

There are just 200 exhibitor spaces, and it’s free to exhibit.

NTIBN will cover your booth and booth signage. You bring your team, your products or displays, and your promotional materials.

Whether you’re just starting out or have been in business for years, this is an opportunity to put your business in the room. You can express interest in the market, the showcase or both.
