This Sunday 6 September, Gymnastics NT is bringing the action with a HUGE day of gymnastics at the home of Gymnastics NT! 🧡🖤

Come along and support our NT gymnasts as they take to the competition floor, with MAG, WAG, Acro and the Bigham Cup NT Team Trial #2 all happening throughout the day!

🇳🇹 TERRITORY GYMNASTS SHINE AT THE 2026 AUSTRALIAN GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS! 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

Gymnastics NT is incredibly proud of Armanie Boonsmer and Matthew Walmsley, who represented the Northern Territory with pride at the 2026 Australian Gymnastics Championships in Sydney, competing against Australia’s best artistic gymnasts.

Competing in the highly competitive WAG Level 9 Open (14–15 Years), Armanie finished an impressive 17th All Around nationally, with standout performances including:
⭐ 7th on Balance Beam (Day 1)
⭐ 8th Overall on Balance Beam
⭐ 12th Overall on Floor Exercise

👨‍🏫 Coach: Rhys Barden

Matthew produced some fantastic routines in the MAG Level 7 Open competition, finishing:
⭐ 20th All Around (Round 1)
⭐ 11th on High Bar (Round 1)
⭐ 16th on Floor Exercise (Round 1)

These results are a testament to the dedication, resilience and hard work of both athletes and the incredible support of their coaches, clubs and families.

A huge thank you also to NT WAG Judge Cheryl Becker, SA MAG Judge Andrew Cordery, our NT competition judges and everyone behind the scenes who helped make this national campaign possible.
