Lots of fun today with our first try of the beetroot relish recipe for the 2026 craft table. Check out how we sterilised the jars in the pics, and why, if you try this at home, disposable gloves are recommended! We’ve all taken a jar of the relish home to give this version a critique. Gluten free beetroot relish is one of the recipes we're perfecting this year to include on the Darwin Branch's craft table at the AGM in September, which is being hosted by CWA Tennant Creek. Ever wondered how to to make a preserve? What's the trick to sterilising jars? Members and visitors (that means you're very welcome to join us) will be test-driving beetroot relish on Monday 23 March from 9-12 at our weekly meeting at 27 Bishop Street, Woolner.

A great day and a fabulous outcome for the Sexual Assault Referral Centre. Thank you, everyone

To the Darwin community, thank you for your huge, kind and generous support of the CWA Darwin Christmas Craft Fair - we raised $3500!!! The donations tin was overflowing, the cakes sold out and the scones ... we estimate at least 120 scones were enjoyed with jam, cream, butter, chutney (on the cheese scones) and lemon curd (on the pumpkin scones).

$3500 is being donated to the Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC) in Darwin and Palmerston. CWA Darwin Branch has been supporting SARC for a long time and this will be our largest donations, made possible because of you, our wonderful community and our sponsors:
