Girl Guides Northern Territory Region A community based, not-for-profit organisation that empowers girls and young women to grow into confident, self-respecting, responsible community members.

Guiding is about self-confidence, leadership and teamwork. We empower girls and young women to speak out and take action on the issues they care about locally, nationally and globally. We provide a unique girls only space and are relevant to today's girls. We promote diversity and equality and are committed to giving girls and young women a voice. As part of a global movement, our committed volunteers make Guiding happen.

What an absolute privilege to celebrate a century of courage, friendship, adventure and leadership right here in the Northern Territory!

From the tiniest Guides holding a (very well behaved) croc, to our long-serving leaders, this photo says it all — Girl Guides NT is strong, proud and still going strong after 100 years.

To every girl in blue, every Leader, every volunteer and every family who’s been part of this journey since 1926… thank you. You’ve helped build something truly special.

Here’s to the next 100 years of making friends, trying new things, and showing the Territory what Girl Guides can do!

The last 48 hours in Rome have been amazing! The leaders flew over the Alps, explored the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and even met a young Girl Guide from NZ on the shuttle who asked for a photo with us (shared with her permission).

My name is Tabbi, I’m from Alice Springs, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be a member of the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) representing the NT Region. 💙💛

Being part of the recent YAC Development Weekend was such an amazing and inspiring experience! ✨

Throughout the weekend, I had the opportunity to:

🎤 Build my confidence and learn new skills in presenting
🤝 Connect and communicate with Guides from across NSW, ACT and the NT
💬 Speak up about topics that are important to young people
💡 Plan and develop projects and proposals
🧭 Explore Compass 2032 and learn more about the future direction of Girl Guides

Most importantly, I was given a space where my voice was heard and where I could share ideas, learn from others and contribute to making a difference.

Keep leading. Keep learning. Keep speaking up. And most importantly – keep having fun! 💫
