We would like to congratulate👏 our wonderful colleague Folole Tasi, on successfully completing her 🎓Diploma of Financial Counselling after 12 months of dedicated study.

Folole recently travelled to Cairns ✈️ to celebrate and mark this incredible achievement. Her hard work, commitment and passion for supporting the community continue to shine through in her role as Financial Counsellor here in Tennant Creek🌳.

Completing this qualification is a significant milestone and reflects Folole’s dedication to helping individuals and families navigate financial challenges with care, professionalism and compassion✨.

We are incredibly proud of Folole and the positive impact she continues to make every day.

This week sees the start of National Reconciliation Week 27 May - 3 June and we are going ALL IN !
To start the NRW celebrations some of our teams gathered with Sisters from Missionary Daughters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and other service providers at the CAAPS Family Fun day last Friday in Berrimah.
Larrakia Elder, Mary Williams delivererd a Welcome to Country and over 150 families and community members joined the fun with jumping castle, bbq and kids activities.

Today, on National Sorry Day, Caroline Busch, Phil Brown and Lara Tonkin had the privilege of attending the Stolen Generations event in Darwin. It was a deeply moving experience—one that reminded us of the strength, resilience, and enduring spirit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Listening to stories, sharing space, and reflecting together reinforced the importance of acknowledging the past and continuing the journey toward healing and reconciliation. Days like today are not only about remembrance, but also about respect, truth, and commitment to a better future.

We are grateful to have been part of this gathering and to stand in solidarity as we honour the Stolen Generations.

DMFS Darwin’s Welcome to the Top End 2026 Expo

Thursday!!!

🌸Our wonderful ladies from the HR team had the pleasure of attending the Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS) Welcome to the Top End 2026 Expo! 👏

✨This fantastic community event, held in February was designed to support ADF members and their families who are new to Darwin. The expo brought together a diverse range of local community groups, sporting organisations, Territory, Commonwealth, and local government services all showcasing what makes living in the Top End so unique and welcoming 🤝.

🙌It was a wonderful opportunity for the ladies to connect with Defence families, share information about the services CatholicCare NT provides, discuss career opportunities, and help newcomers feel right at home in our vibrant community 💙.

The team had an awesome time smashing out their first expo of the year and are already looking forward to the next ones!

📍We will be at the Darwin Careers Expo on August 18 come say hi, we can’t wait to see you all there! 🤩
