Our HR Talent and Engagement Officers attended the Darwin Careers Expo to showcase the range of roles and careers available with CatholicCare NT.

We got set up along with a packed stadium full of presenters and stallholders from a variety of industries. Nearly one thousand students from years 9 -12 attended over the five hours so we were kept busy speaking with students, course coordinators, teachers, career advisors and parents about the range of pathways and roles we offer in CCNT across the Territory.

We answered questions about career opportunities and pathways in counselling, mental health and youth work, case work, family support, housing programs, finance, corporate and childcare. Many were interested in casual opportunities, student placements and volunteer roles as well so we are hoping to retain our local talent for roles with CatholicCare NT in future.

This morning THE STAND 2026 was launched following the success of last year with 107 Domestic Violence Action Plans (DVAPs) developed and over 600 commitments. ✨👏

CatholicCare NT are again calling for businesses, faith based organisations and sporting clubs to take THE STAND and create another 90 DVAPs.

The Launch included unveiling a new online DVAP builder designed to make it easier to create your own DVAP.

CatholicCare NT Director, Jayne Lloyd launched the Charlie King ChangeMaker Awards to recognise those in the Northern Territory working towards ending domestic violence.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
✈🏣The Community Counsellor is a Darwin based position that will travel to Tennant Creek on a regular basis and is responsible for engaging and networking with the Community for social, emotional and wellbeing. There is a focus on engaging and networking with the Tennant Creek community to build relationships. This role will also support the Darwin Counselling team through one-on-one or group counselling support.
