The biggest bit of nonsense is that instead of putting our taxes into general revenue to pay for better social programs for those who need them, we're in debt for millions (billions??) of dollars for paying the US and UK for submarines they don't have (and therefore, we don't have). On a wing and a prayer and living in a yellow submarine.
