Originally established in 1983 to fight uranium mining in Kakadu National Park, we continue to work closely with communities across the Northern Territory to stop environmentally destructive projects, hold government and industry to account, and improve environmental regulation and governance.

We're losing what makes Australia special: our unique and beautiful nature.

Experts say Northern quolls may now be locally extinct in Litchfield National Park due to introduced pests such as cats and cane toads along with changed fire regimes and the bulldozing of habitat.

Meanwhile, the NT Government has approved the destruction of almost 40,000 hectares of native habitat in less than two years.

Sign our petition and tell the Albanese government to stop the bulldozers and stand up for the Territory's iconic nature.

Led by Traditional Owners, more than 15,000 people have signed petitions calling for a pause on gas-powered AI data centres in the Northern Territory.

Young Larrakia and Kungarakan Traditional Owner Laniyuk from Protect Larrakia Country has joined forces with 350.org.au, Independent MLA Justine Davis MLA, and LECA in tabling several petitions with the NT government calling for a moratorium on data centres and for no new data centres to be powered by fracked gas.

Another blowout for Middle Arm. Meanwhile, $1.9 billion in federal funding meant for the Territory is sitting idle, tied to a toxic gas and petrochemical project that may never happen.

Major community win - the NTEPA have hit pause one of Australia's biggest ever proposed data centres!

The regulator cited a “low level of confidence” in the environmental planning behind Project Ares, Energy North’s proposed 19,150 hectare hyperscale data centre on Murranji Station in the Barkly. And no wonder - this monster would pump at least 4 billion litres of groundwater a year and use more gas daily than the entire Northern Territory.

We welcome the EPA's decision and are calling for the project to be halted until the federal government's national AI standards are legislated.

Frackers want to rip through Australia to build their monster export pipeline - and they’re trying to make you pay for it.

This massive 1,561km pipeline is central to their plans to cover Australia’s Top End in destructive fracking wells. If it’s built, the gas goes overseas. They make billions, and we pay for it - with our water, our health and our climate.

Big Gas bludgers are at it again. New ATO data shows Santos has paid zero company tax for the 11th year straight.

Meanwhile, their destructive fracking plans in the Beetaloo Basin put our water, health and climate at risk. They get billions, we get the bill.
