The Kansas Aviation Museum, Tallgrass Film Association, and Wichita Aero Club invite you to a special evening exploring the art of aerial cinematography and the remarkable legacy of aviation pioneer Clay Lacy.

From his Wichita roots to the skies above Hollywood, Lacy has spent a lifetime pushing the boundaries of aviation. He helped transform how aircraft and aerial action are captured on film through his groundbreaking camera technology and work with the entertainment industry.

Two longtime friends and collaborators of Clay Lacy, acclaimed aviation photographer Paul Bowen and aerial cinematographer Roger Tonry, will share stories, experiences and insights from decades of capturing aircraft in flight.

A memorable evening in Washington D.C. celebrating aviation's finest.

Our Executive Director, Ashley Bowen Cook, represented the Wichita Aero Club at the 62nd Annual National Aviation Hall of Fame Enshrinement. The event honored the Class of 2026 for their monumental contributions to flight.

Congratulations to this year's distinguished inductees:

• William F. Bahret: Pioneered technology for stealth flight.
• Leonard Greene: Invented the stall-warning system.
• Shannon Lucid: First woman to hold an international record for most orbital flight hours.
• John D. Odegard: Founder of the University of North Dakota’s Department of Aviation.
• Ross Perot, Jr.: Founder of the first purely industrial airport in the U.S.
• C.B. “Sully” Sullenberger: For the "Miracle on the Hudson."
• Peggy A. Whitson: Record holder for most cumulative hours in space of any U.S. astronaut.
