Yesterday I was part of a prayer call and we prayed for the salvation of hundreds of people by name.

Today I read this verse in Psalm 96: “Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.”
‭‭
I’m reminded again that we are to tell of his salvation EVERY day, not just during crisis or pandemics.

First, we need to remember the gospel truth: we are forgiven, accepted, adopted, and considered righteous by God. This isn’t just old news, this is the BEST news. The hymn Rock of Ages calls it the “double cure”: we’ve been counted “not guilty” AND we’ve been given Christ’s perfect sinless record!

Second, we are to tell of his salvation to all who will hear every day. It’s said Dwight L Moody would not go to bed until he had shared the gospel with someone each day.

I ask myself and you, who can you share the gospel with today? Who are you praying for right now that needs to hear the good news?

Important thoughts as we consider our response during this difficult time. What will the next generation think of us--and our God--as they watch how we respond to crisis.

May God fill us with faith, hope, and love.

How we respond right to this crisis (or any crisis) will be observed by our family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, community, and world. May we respond with faith instead of fear, hope instead of doubt, courage instead of cowering, gratitude instead of grumbling, praise instead of criticism, and joy instead of sorrow.

This verse, while the context is about something else, reminds me that future generations will hear about God based on how we respond.

God move in us with power and grace, and show us your enduring love today.

These words provide such great hope each and every morning. Thanks be to a God who loves and forgives us in spite of our sins and frailties.

Can I hear an amen?

“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool." - Isaiah 1:18

You can seek forgiveness from God today. Your sin does not surprise him.

If you're going through hard times or know someone who is, it's assuring to know that God works all things for good for those who love him!

"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

It's hard to be a passionate worshiper and have your marriage in the rocks. Our marriages are a barometer of the health of our relationship with God.

In this episode, Owen Hemsath and Phil Mershon discuss Owen's journey through the ups and downs of marriage that led to the formation of a new ministry Thriving, Sexy Marriages.

Pastor Igor* spent two years enduring the grind in the Gulag labor camps of Siberia. These camps were notorious for breaking down the minds and bodies of men and women deemed a threat to the Soviet government. How did he not only survive but thrive during these two years? He literally hid scripture and meditated on it daily. Let me explain. [ 1600 more words. ]

If I could only have one page of scripture, which passage would I take? Perhaps you also are looking for some practical tips on how to keep perspective
