Great day to be on top of a mountain! 5 MOACers hiked up the steep, rocky trail to Bald Peak and Pleasant Mt. The weather was perfect! We did have a few hungry little, buzzy, lunch guests who moved on when the breeze picked up. Thanks Loon Echo Land Trust.

Trip report from Georgann: A crew of 11 explored a 6.2 mile loop that follows the rim of a volcanic ring ring in Pawtuckaway SP. This hike had a variety of features: A cellar hole from a 1790 homestead with the family cemetery, glacial erratics with large boulder field, marsh with evidence of active beavers and a climbable fire tower. Spring flowers included Rock Harlequin and Red Columbine and lucky to have more than one sighting of hummingbirds.

Seven MOAC members and two guests walked 1.5 miles to Docks Seafood for dinner with two hours of talented musician Denny Breau's singing and guitar playing. MOAC member Kathie M. sang "Crazy" with Denny to much applause! Then, half the group walked 1.5 miles back to Wainwright Field in South Portland.
