And so a new chapter begins...

After months of work, discussion, and refinement, we're proud to unveil the new official logo of Skullumni — the Alpha Delta Alumni Chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma.

While our old logo served us well for 19 years, the new Skullumni identity brings together elements of Phi Kappa Sigma and the University of Maine, reflecting the two traditions that have shaped generations of Alpha Delta brothers. The fraternity's colors and identity meet the unmistakable spirit of the Maine Black Bears to create something as unique as the Alpha Delta Chapter itself.

At the center of it all is Bone-anas — our new mascot and a symbol of the lifelong connection between Alpha Delta brothers and the place where that brotherhood began.

The result honors where we've been while giving Skullumni an identity of its own as we look toward the future.

From the chapter house to the UMaine campus — and wherever life has taken us since — the brotherhood continues.

We recently received an inquiry asking if we knew who the mug in the attached photos belonged to. As you will note, the front of this mug shows the Phi Kappa Sigma emblem, the text "University of Maine" along the rim, and "Alpha Delta" near the base. The year "1957" is split on either side of the emblem. On the back is the word "Clem".

We do not see any alumni in our database with a first or last name that contains the letters "Clem", so this may be an alumnus for whom we do not have information, or it could be a nickname.

If any of you have more information on which brother this mug may have belonged to, please reach out to us.

With the help of generative artificial intelligence, Skullumni’s executive officers have completed the first major update to our logo and branding materials in nearly 20 years. We’re excited about the new direction and hope you’ll be as proud of it as we are—especially considering it was developed at no cost to the organization.

Before we can officially roll out the new brand, we need assistance from a skilled graphic designer to refine the artwork, convert files into proper production formats, and help finalize a comprehensive style guide.

We are hopeful that a member of our alumni community may have the expertise to support this effort. As with the many alumni who generously give their time to Skullumni, the Housing Corporation, or as chapter advisors, we are seeking someone willing to contribute their skills on a volunteer basis. While we fully recognize the value of this work, we are prioritizing our financial resources toward the ongoing needs of the chapter house and other core alumni chapter services.
