Sustain Music & Nature

Sustain Music & Nature We make music a force for nature. Our nonprofit harnesses music to generate fans for the environment.

We have two major project areas: Songscapes and Trail Sessions. SONGSCAPES
Songscapes create direct partnerships between land agencies and musicians. Through the hospitality of host environmental organizations, artists are immersed in the beauty and history of protected lands. Bands use this retreat time to create a song inspired by the land and their experiences. The song is then donated to the h

ost organization and used to inspire and encourage others to value these landscapes. TRAIL SESSIONS
We pair outdoor concerts with guided hikes at public lands. Currently happening in Colorado and expanding to additional states soon. Trail Sessions introduce people to their public lands and excellent music!

Sustain's Co-Founders will be plenary speakers at California's 30x30 Partnership Summit in San Diego! The event gathers conservation colleagues who are working to conserve 30% of California by 2030. We're so excited to share how we use art to deepen people's emotional bonds to the natural world.

The event is sold out but you can still register to watch virtually (including keynote by president Collin O'Mara 👀) by checking out the article in our bio.

Thank you for inviting us!

If any bands want to participate in Saturday's protest, we might be able to help $upport you. Reach out.

..
Park rangers want YOU to help us protect public lands! This Saturday, 3/1, in solidarity with the 50:50:1 movement, plan a protest in support of your closest national park. Do it at 12 noon your time, or whatever best fits your secret plan 👀🤠😏

How you protest can look a lot of ways: organize people to hand out flyers to cars waiting in entrance lines, put a sign in front webcams, hang a banner over the entrance station, hang a flag upside down, host a protest in the gateway town or in the first amendment area, host a march… anything that reminds the us that parks are for people... not billionaires!

America’s Best Idea is YOURS to save!

Just remember - be respectful to the rangers and the site. Leave no trace, and keep it nonviolent…but get creative!

Check the link in our bio for protest locations!

It's a joy meeting other folks in the music x environment space! Please check out to see the important work of harnessing the emotional power of music for climate and community.

In my few days at the UNs Climate Negotiations for COP29, the fastest I saw people gather or engage was when these folks started playing music. Music is uniquely positioned to bring all people together for environmental action.
