Meet Gary Hanifan. Currently, serving as the Chief Operating officer of the Archdiocese of Portland, Gary leads the financial and administrative operations that support 140 parishes and missions, 40 schools and many ministries. With over 30 years of experience advising leadership, mentoring people, and navigating change through times of uncertainty, Gary has a lot of wisdom to share. All while integrating his professional success with faith. Join us for an evening of discussing real life questions and getting practical advice. 🗓September 20th: YCP Portland Member Event Bocce Ball Tournament with the Sisters of Saint Mary of Oregon. Join us for a fun afternoon and some friendly competition with other YCP Portland Belong members and the Sisters. Who will be this year's tournament champion?

Thank you for joining us for our August Networking Happy Hour at Lady Hill Winery! Our guests shared one photo with a new friend and told a story about their summer. We could not have asked for a better evening in Oregon wine country! We always enjoy hosting this event at one of our favorite venues. Thank you to our gracious hosts and owners of Lady Hill Winery, Jerry and Elaine Owen for their support of this ministry.

Traditionally, our August event is also our Leadership Team Appreciation announcement. We welcome the new leaders to our team and thank the leaders staying on for another term. We send off the team members who move on. All amazing impacts to our group! Thank you for continuing to support our ministry. Be on the look out for upcoming events in the near future!

The virtue of fortitude isn’t about never struggling—it’s about remaining faithful through the struggle.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our latest YCP Panel Discussion on the Virtue of Fortitude. Through stories of business, military service, and the priesthood, our panelists shared how prayer, the sacraments, and trust in God’s providence have sustained them through life’s greatest challenges.

We’re grateful to our panelists and everyone who continues to make YCP Portland a place where young Catholic professionals can grow in faith, friendship, and purpose.
