🗓️ Clear your calendars this October… it's official, we have the dates set for AIGA Portland Design Month 2026! 🥳

🎉 Opening night celebrations begin Friday, October 2nd and end with the closing party on Friday, October 23rd.

Last year we collaborated with designers to host over 60 design events over 3 weeks including talks, panels, nature walks, workshops, tours, trivia, and more. We can't wait to share this year's events with you!

The AIGA Portland Womxn Lead Committee is excited to announce the launch of the Solo Designer Collective! ✨ We love to give shoutouts to our amazing AIGA Portland volunteers and we're not kidding when we say we'd be LOST without our Operations Director, Laura Merriman! 🦸‍♀️

Laura is that person that is so organized all of our meeting notes are color coded and tagged. When we say we don't know, we ask Laura, because she does know. 💥

💻 Outside of her volunteer role, Laura is a Creative Director at Otak, an integrated architecture/engineering firm, directing an in-house team that produces the firm’s social media, website, and brand projects. Badass.

📸 She also loves working in photography and has captured over 50 weddings! (Getting married? Now you know who to call!)

We’re so grateful to have her as part of the AIGA Portland community and wish her the best in her next chapters!

Hybrid Design’s Dora Drimalas shares their new book Curiosity in All Things, presented by WCP Solutions and Mohawk. Come hang, enjoy refreshments and Blu Dot's amazing space in NW Portland on Thursday, June 4 at 5:30 PM.

Dora Drimalas will speak to the core theme of the book Curiosity in All Things and reflect on how curiosity has shaped the firm’s creative practice, their studio, and their careers. Hybrid Design’s client roster includes Nike, Sonos, The North Face, Google, Apple, Mohawk, A24, SFMOMA, LEGO, and Levi’s. Come hang, enjoy the brief address, refreshments, exciting Mohawk materials and community with design-minded folk.
