ACES is excited to welcome 22 students from Kiribati to spend one month in Portland! They arrived just over a week ago and have already hit the ground running. While here, students are taking classes to study English, cross-cultural workplace skills, and computers. They also experience fun and educational excursions around town, and practice having conversations with local students. Weekends and evenings are spent with host families, getting the experience of daily American life. We are excited to see how these students will continue to grow and learn during the remainder of their time here!
