The civilian leader of the U.S. Army is out after just 18 months. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll had clashed repeatedly with Pete Hegseth, but the breaking point came when Driscoll reportedly went over Hegseth's head to warn Trump that Hegseth was gutting the Army by firing its top generals. Now, Driscoll is gone.

The most telling part? Trump was caught off guard, a clear sign the commander in chief is being fed lies about his own Pentagon.

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries slammed Donald Trump and Secretary Pete Hegseth over their reckless war of choice in Iran. Instead of coming to Capitol Hill to request another $80 billion in taxpayer money for an endless war, Jeffries says Hegseth should bring his letter of resignation.

Six months ago​ Trump launched a war on Iran and promised it would be over in four to five weeks.

And six months later​ the Strait of Hormuz is still closed​, prices are way up, and American service members are still deployed with no ​end in sight.

Veterans ​and military families already KNOW how this ends. A war nobody has authorized ​is a burden our service members and their families carry​ every single day.

It's time for Republicans to give a s**t about our troops and stand up to Trump and Hegseth. We need to bring them home.

The Pentagon is purging the leadership of Stars and Stripes, the independent newspaper written for America's troops since World War II. Editor-in-chief Erik Slavin, publisher Max Lederer Jr., and reporter Lara Korte were all fired for “insubordination."

This didn't come out of nowhere. In March, came content restrictions. In April, the Pentagon fired the paper's congressionally-mandated ombudsman. Now, its top editors are gone. Our troops deserve a free press, not a Pentagon newsletter.
