So far we have raised $150 of the $700 needed for this months vet and food costs for our shelter 💙
Our shelter is only funded via donations so every dollar really does matter 🐕

We really need to buy some more food for the upcoming weeks as well as get some pups seen by our vet 🙏🙏

If you could spare just $10 dollars today that can cover one vaccine or a partial bottle of medicine needed for some of our medical cases. If you can spare $50 that would cover a whole bag of dog food and a bag of treats! 🥰

Meet Gina and please share her story 🐾💙🙏

Hi, I’m Gina! I’m currently around 2 years old, I love people, other dogs, and am ready to travel to the PNW to find my forever family❤🐕🥰

Let me tell you my story…

I was wandering through the streets of La Paz alone until a kind local rescued me and took me into a their home for a week or so. I thought I had finally found a safe place, but sadly, they were unable to keep me even though they cared about me and wanted to see me thrive. 😔💙

However, I was in luck, just when the family was about to give-up hope in finding me a home she met the manager of Saving Baja Paws. And even more lucky, there was a spot available at the shelter for a small dog. Quickly I was brought to the shelter and my life has been changed forever🐾

Now I’m happy, safe, and having a great time! I love to play with other dogs, going for walks, and I love to take a dip in the pool during these hot summer days 🏊‍♀️🐶 I’m also crate-trained and have been practicing my indoor manners at the managers house. 🥰 I am great with children as well and have been kind to the shelter cats too!

Life at the shelter has been good to me, but what I really want is a family of my own. ❤️ I’m ready for a home where I can be loved, spoiled, and part of the family.

🐾 Meet Bombón! 🐾

My name is Bombón, and I was just a little pup trying to stay safe on the streets when I was rescued. I found shelter at a local shop after being abandonded, and luckily the workers there knew I was too small to be out on my own. I could have easily been hit by a car or hurt by other dogs, so they scooped me up and reached out to Saving Baja Paws for help. ❤️

Thankfully, SBP came to my rescue and I am now safe and sound in my foster home until I get a ride to the PNW.🐾

I’m about 1 year old, spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find my forever family. I get along with dogs of all sizes and even cats! 🐶🐱 I’m playful, sweet, and one of my favorite things is curling up in a cozy bed for a good nap. 🛏️💕I also get along wonderfully with children and love making new hooman friends when they come over and visit. 🐕

Now all I need is a loving family to call my own and a lift to the PNW 🙌

We are sad to announce that today’s car washing event at the Elks Lodge in NE Portland is being moved to a different date. 🥹 major unfortunate circumstances have occurred making the fundraiser not possible today. 🐾 Our paws look forward to planning a new date soon with the Lodge though ❤️

Our paws want to give a special thank you to Yukiko. Our shelter manager and Mexico representative.

Yukiko has been managing our shelter for about five years now and has done an incredible job 🐾 day in and day out she lives on site and cares for over thirty dogs everyday. Luckily her family is nearby and volunteers to help us all the time — just see her grandson in the video!

It’s through all the love and care our pups receive in our shelter that they are able to have such an easy transition to their PNW homes 🐶

So today our paws want to give a huge thank you to Yukiko and her family for always caring for our pups and giving 100% everyday 365/24-7 🥰

Meet Mezzy! This sweet pup is searching for her forever family and needs your help--can you please share this post? 🙏💙

This sweet young girl is an amazing dog and searching for her perfect forever family. She is about 45lbs. and we estimate she was born in early 2022. Originally from Todos Santos, Mexico Mezzy is being fostered in Portland, Oregon now and has learned so many amazing skills since arriving. She cannot wait to find her furever family and spend this fall falling in love with her new family.
Mezzy is the sweetest girl who enjoys making new friends on her daily walks. She is fully house trained and does well in a kennel when her foster family is gone. Currently she spends most of her days with her foster mom and her kiddos, playing in the garden and going on walks. Mezzy is great with kids and even has experience being around children as young as 1 year old. She loves to make new doggie friends and has lived with other dogs before. Mezzy rides well in the car and loves to go on new adventures, and is always down for a long walk or hike with her family. Making new memories and cuddling her people after a fun day of playing is Mezzy's dream life.
Currently this sweet and playful girl is being fostered in Portland, Oregon waiting for her new family to find her. She is avaible for meet and greets anywhere in Oregon or Washington.

Mezzy's adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $200USD. This helps us cover most of her vet and care costs and travel costs.
All our pups come fully up to date on shots, are tested for heartworm and other diseases, microchipped, f***l tested, current on flea medications, and also come spayed / neutered.

This evening a storm passed through La Paz flooding many areas of the city. 😭Including our shelter, for the first time in five years of operation. However, it was only the first row of kennels near the entry way luckily. All of our dogs are safe and moved, and a trench was quickly dug. However, more storms are coming this week and our homemade trench will only survive so much rain. ☔️
We have already moved of all the dogs to the main house, however to create a quick alternate space for thirty dogs to live we need supplies. 🔨 We are seeking out tarps, cement blocks, extra sand, and wood.
Our paws estimate we need about $250usd for a supply run in the next twenty four hours. 🐾 Or maybe some local friends in La Paz or the surrounding areas can donate supplies directly to our shelter.
