Seed + Mill is named one of New York’s three top food souvenirs by Food & Wine. The magazine recommends that shoppers at Chelsea Market visit the Seed + Mill shop to purchase their halva in 25 flavors, writing, “It travels well, keeps for months, and taps into a longer New York lineage, echoing the pushcarts that once sold wedges across the Lower East Side.” In addition to halva, the company makes a variety of tahini-based products, including soft serve ice cream and sauces. Shop their entire product line on the company website from anywhere in the world. Seed + Mill is co-founded by WEALF entrepreneur Rachel Simons. https://www.foodandwine.com/new-york-city-guide-11960701 -nyc-food-souvenirs

WEALF’s Technical Advisor, Karen Jeanne Radley, is profiled in The New York Times, Affording New York series this week. A lifelong New Yorker, Karen’s story is one of adaptation and resilience, as she runs her own consultancy after losing her place in the corporate world. She has redefined success on her own terms and maintained the life she enjoys. Karen said it best to journalist, Davaughnia Wilson, “What I’ve come to learn through this is that I’m a much stronger person than I thought I was.” It is a strength that all WEALF women have, both our entrepreneurs and staff.
