MORE TIX ARE AVAILABLE! ONE WEEK LEFT TILL THE FUNDRAISER!

You are invited to a fundraiser for University Settlement’s Adult English Classes, which are offered at a variety of levels to adult immigrant students during the daytime, evenings, and weekends, free of charge.

A collection of AANHPI artists is coming together for a concert reading of Learning How to Read by Moonlight, by Gaven D. Trinidad, directed by Nicholas Polonio.

The play follows a young Filipino immigrant family’s journey to build a home in Queens, New York. The story is told through the eyes of six-year-old Eddie, who does not yet have the English words to express how he feels. The show will be read in both English and Tagalog.

We’re grateful to Theatre Beyond Broadway and reviewer Nicholas Radu-Blackburn for this powerful write-up of FULL CONTACT.

A standout line from the review:
“Besides the incredible display of physically-demanding Poekoelan movements, Ariel Estrada effortlessly portrays the harsh reality of the mental and emotional strain he endured.”

FULL CONTACT is presented as part of Leviathan Lab, Second Generation Productions, Theaterlab Shares, and Mixed Asian Media’s WinterFest, which also features X #*! YOU VERY MUCH, MOM and BLOOD/SUCKER.

Most remaining performances are now sold out, but a limited number of seats may be released at the door for select shows. We encourage patrons to arrive early for the best chance of entry.
