🎉Welcome Natalie Abrams to Hot Bread Kitchen’s Kitchen Cabinet!

As Executive Chef and Operations Manager at , Natalie brings 20 years of baking and kitchen experience, plus a passion for building strong teams and creating equitable career opportunities to our Hot Bread Kitchen community.

A Hot Bread Kitchen employer partner since 2019, Natalie has hired 15 Breadwinners and participated in our Quality Jobs Initiative and Management Training Institute.

We’re thrilled to have Natalie bring her experience, leadership, and commitment to our Kitchen Cabinet!

Our First Course NYC members absolutely nailed Italian Restaurant Simulation day! 🍝🥘

Towards the end of training, each cohort participates in several restaurant simulation lessons to put their newfound skills to the test.

For First Course member Desi, this experience has been just the first taste of what is to come in her career.

Stop by every Saturday in front of Brooklyn Central Library for a taste of the big easy in the big apple! Menu highlights include Mama Cheryl's collared greens, Creole Garden Succotash, Cornbread, Mac & Cheese, and more!

Inspired by 三菜一湯 (3 Dishes, 1 Soup), 3 Dishes is bringing balanced Taiwanese lunchboxes to NYC. Each box features three veggie-forward sides and a healthy protein over a bed of rice.

One of our newest employer partners, has already hired graduates from our front of house and back of house programs! This summer, 3 Dishes is popping up at the Times Square Summer Market from June 26 through August 9, at the corner of 47th St and Broadway. They'll be serving Taiwanese homestyle bento boxes, pan-fried mini dumplings, and more!

✨Last week, Priscilla, founder of , won the grand prize of our Breadwinners Pitch event!

is a cacao-driven confections business, and with the prize, she will be able to launch her first marketing campaign, expand her business into local markets, and continue sourcing premium cacao beans from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

At Hot Bread Kitchen, we know that succeeding in a new job goes beyond just culinary hard skills. That's why our programs incorporate professional readiness lessons to prepare our members for all aspects of working in the industry.

For Culinary Fundamentals graduate Amy, professional readiness lessons helped her ace her interviews, and she is now thriving in her new role as a baker with our employer partners at Levain Bakery 🍪
