✨We are 8 Days away from our May Meeting! Join us on May 19th at 11:30 am to learn how to manage burnout!

Have you ever experienced burnout? May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the LSHRM May Chapter Meeting will focus on a topic impacting professionals across every industry:

Burnout: Understanding It, Managing It, and What HR Can Do About It

This interactive session will open with a clear, practical overview of what burnout really is, why it happens, and how it often shows up in today’s workplaces. From there, we’ll center the individual experience of burnout and explore actionable ways HR professionals can respond with empathy, strategy, and impact.

The conversation will then transition into a panel discussion, creating space for real-world questions, shared experiences, and honest dialogue about how HR can better support both people and the systems they work in.

✨ You’ll walk away with insights to help you:
- Define burnout and recognize how it presents in the workplace
- Identify practical strategies for responding to and managing burnout

💚 Mental Health Awareness: Supporting Those Who Support Others

As HR professionals, we are often the steady presence behind the scenes, supporting employees through challenges, guiding organizations through change, and creating spaces where people can thrive. But in the work of caring for others, it’s essential that we also care for ourselves.

Mental health matters at every level of the workplace, including HR.

✨ A few reminders for our HR community:
- It’s okay to take a step back and recharge.
- Boundaries are not only healthy, but they’re also necessary.
- Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
- You deserve the same compassion and care you extend to others every day.

At LSHRM, we are committed to fostering a community where HR professionals feel supported, seen, and valued, not just for the work they do but for who they are.

Let’s continue to check in with one another, create space for honest conversations, and promote a culture that prioritizes mental well-being.

Together, we thrive. 💚
