USA Cares, Inc. We provide post-9/11 veterans, service members and their families with emergency financial aid.

USA Cares is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that addresses the critical and unmet needs of post 9/11 service members, veterans and military families facing service related hardships. USA Cares operates several assistance programs and offers referral service that work vigorously to get that service member and their family what they need, often times immediately. USA Cares Programs:

Combat Injured:
This program pays basic expenses for veterans diagnosed with PTSD or traumatic brain injury so they can rest assured their family is taken care of while they receive treatment. Career Transition:
This program helps pay a veteran’s essential expenses while they train for a new job, relieving any financial barrier that keeps them from getting a new job or career. Housing Assistance:
When bills are past due as a result of a military service-related incident, we directly pay the landlord or mortgage lender to reduce any extra financial burdens from the service member or their family. Emergency Assistance: This program pays immediate, essential bills, including food and utility bills that are necessary to the health and well-being of the service member and their family.

The official Air Force Birthday is recognized as Sept. 18, 1947, the date of the passage of the National Security Act of 1947. That legislation created what would later come to be known as the United States Department of War (previously known as the Department of Defense). This established the United States Air Force as a separate branch of military service.

The 79th Air Force Day is celebrated Friday, Sept. 18, 2026. ✈❤️💙

We love collaborating with other Veteran Service Organizations.

It was great to welcome William Roby Sr., Chair of the USA Cares, Inc. Executive Advisory Council, and Fred Betz, US Veteran, Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient.

We gave them a behind-the-scenes tour of our Louisville manufacturing lab.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined us at the KSR Remote hosted at Country Boy Brewing in Georgetown presented by Republic Bank! The event gave us an incredible opportunity to connect with the community, share the heart behind our mission, and raise support for the veterans and military families we serve. The shirt giveaways were a hit, and we were overwhelmed by the generosity of those who donated.

We're so thankful for our amazing partners Republic Bank Country Boy Brewing: Georgetown Taproom Kentucky Sports Radio and everyone who helped make the day memorable. What a meaningful way to honor those who gave everything 25 years ago while continuing to support those who serve today ♥️

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families forever changed and the courage of the first responders and service members who answered the call.

For USA Cares, September 11 holds a special significance. Our organization was founded in the aftermath of 9/11, when a group of Kentuckians came together to support soldiers and their families at Fort Knox. What began here in Kentucky grew into a nationwide commitment to supporting veterans, service members and military families.

Today, we remember where it all began and honor those whose lives and service were forever shaped by September 11.
