📢The Greater Louisville Alliance of Black School Educators is pleased to share that our GLABSE Scholarship application is now live. We will award four $500 scholarships to graduating seniors. 🧑🏾‍🎓👩🏾‍🎓

The application is available through a Google Form, and all required materials can be uploaded directly within the form for convenience. The deadline to apply is March 31 at 11:59 PM. ⏰

Oh, what a celebration! 🎉

We had the pleasure of celebrating the winners of the inaugural GLABSE Reading Challenge at Maupin Elementary, and it was truly phenomenal. The smiles and excitement on the faces of students and their families filled the room with joy.

Seeing parents and community members show up to support our young readers reminded me why events like this matter.

We thank Charles Phipus, GLABSE secretary, and Ron Jones, GLABSE historian for showing up. Thank you to JCPS district leadership Jamiera Johnson for being present and encouraging our students, and to Maupin’s Elementary board representative Gail Logan Strange for her presence and engagement.
