⌛ Think you don’t have enough time to be a mentor? Think again!

Our Big Group mentoring program returns in January, and we’re looking for more caring adult volunteers to join us. The Big Group gives you the opportunity to build meaningful connections with young people through fun, facilitated group-based mentoring activities—all without the commitment of meeting every week.

Just two Saturdays a month, for a couple of hours at a time, from January through June. That’s it! It’s a great fit for busy professionals, parents, retirees, students, or anyone with a packed schedule who still wants to make a BIG difference in a young person’s life.

You don’t need unlimited free time to be a mentor. You just need a little time, a willingness to show up, and a desire to make a difference. 💚

Two Cards have entered the building — and we couldn't be more excited! 🐦💚

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana is thrilled to welcome two new interns from the University of Louisville: Ashley and Brayln! These Cardinals are jumping headfirst into our mission this fall, bringing fresh energy, big ideas, and a whole lot of heart to everything we do.

From volunteer recruitment to social media to programming support, these two will be right in the middle of the work that changes lives in our community every single day.

All children are born with equal potential, but they do not have equal opportunity. Partners like Kosair for Kids are helping bridge the gap to a Future Built on Mentorship. 💚

Kosair's recent investment helps us ensure more youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities have access to the caring, consistent mentoring they deserve. Through meaningful relationships with their Bigs, young people can build confidence, develop important life skills, and know they'll always have someone in their corner.

With Big Brothers Big Sisters Month coming to a close today, we wanted to highlight some of the BIG ways mentorship has shined throughout our region:

💡 Landmarks and buildings around Kentuckiana lit up green to raise awareness for our waiting list
🚀🏓 Our matches bonded over enriching activities like pickleball and rocket making
🏫 School to Work sessions kicked off, connecting high schoolers with workplace mentors

Plus we raised a record amount during Give for Good Louisville! To everyone who helped spread the word, made a gift, or signed up to volunteer this month, THANK YOU for believing in our mission. It's clear that this community is all in on ✨
