When we talk about justice-impacted people, we’re not just talking about the person who was incarcerated.

We’re talking about the grandparents who stepped in and raised the children.
The aunt who became a caregiver.
The family members who carried the financial, emotional, and practical responsibilities left behind.

The impact of incarceration reaches far beyond one person.

If you’ve had to step up or rebuild because someone you love was impacted by the system, you’re part of this story too.

You belong in this movement.

Join a membership base that educates, activates, and empowers justice-impacted people and families across Georgia.

Our canvassers are back in the community, having real conversations and making sure people know their rights.

Too often, justice-impacted people miss out on opportunities to participate because they’ve been given misinformation or never received the information at all. When people don’t know their rights, their voices are left out of decisions that impact their lives, families, and communities.

That’s why we’re knocking doors, answering questions, and sharing resources.

Your vote is your voice. Your voice matters.

Justice-impacted families shouldn’t have to navigate these challenges alone.

Every day, families impacted by incarceration face financial strain, stigma, disrupted households, and barriers that extend far beyond one person.

Your support helps us to continue organizing, educating, advocating, and creating opportunities for justice-impacted people and their families.

Every donation helps us move this work forward.

Together, we’re building stronger families, stronger communities, and a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

For justice-impacted people, voting is about more than politics. It’s about having a voice.

When people are excluded from the democratic process, entire communities lose out on lived experience, perspective, and leadership.

Rights restoration helps ensure justice-impacted people understand their rights, know their eligibility, and have the opportunity to participate in decisions that affect their lives.

We believe civic engagement is community power. That’s why we continue educating, organizing, and creating pathways for justice-impacted people to be heard.

Because every voice matters. Every vote matters. Every person matters.

Tomorrow we’re slowing it down and stretching it out.

Week 3 of Barred Wellness is all about yoga, stretching, movement, and taking a moment to reset.

For justice-impacted people, rest isn’t always easy to come by. Between work, family, and the day-to-day pressures of life, taking care of yourself often gets pushed to the bottom of the list.

That’s why we’re creating space for our community to move, breathe, connect, and pour back into ourselves.

Pull up, bring a friend, and come get this good stretch in with us.

Rights restoration matters.

That’s why we sit in trainings. That’s why we knock on doors. That’s why we have conversations in our communities every day.

Too many justice-impacted people are told what they can’t do, but not enough people are talking about what rights can be restored and how to access them. Everyone deserves clear information, fair opportunities, and a pathway forward.

Join us to learn, ask questions, and be part of the ongoing effort to ensure equal access to democracy for justice-impacted communities.

What does “Protected Class” actually mean?

It means justice-impacted people can’t be denied opportunities simply because of their past.

Protected Class policies help create accountability, challenge discrimination, and open doors to employment, housing, and stability.

This is what change looks like.

Join a Barred Business Membership Base in Atlanta or Augusta and help us continue building power for justice-impacted communities.

Who is justice-impacted?

A lot more people than you think.

If someone you love is currently incarcerated, has returned home, is living with a conviction, or if your family has had to carry the weight of separation, stigma, financial strain, or raising children while a parent is away, then this conversation includes you too.

Justice impact doesn’t stop at a prison wall. It shows up in households, relationships, finances, opportunities, and entire communities.

Too many people carry these experiences without realizing they belong in spaces where decisions are being made, policies are being shaped, and solutions are being built.

Join a Barred Business membership base in Atlanta or Augusta and connect with people working to create change, build power, and expand opportunities for justice-impacted communities. You belong in this movement.
