Through Open Arms, families receive a meal during some of their longest and most difficult days in the hospital. Recently, several meal sponsorships have come from families who know that journey firsthand and who have chosen to turn their love for someone special into support for others.
We are deeply grateful to the families of Kathy Marder, Justin Leonard, Nina Thomson, and Henry Grossenbacher, who sponsored meals in honor of their loved ones.
Kathy's family shared that she "was a joy and an inspiration to many" and that she would be happy to know they continue giving back to help other families. Nina's family remembers her as a bright, compassionate, and talented young woman who loved cooking, sharing meals, and bringing people together. Henry's family sponsored lunches on what would have been his 7th birthday, hoping to take one thing off another family's plate after experiencing firsthand the support CURE provided during his treatment.
To the families who continue showing up for others while honoring those you love, thank you. Your generosity creates moments of comfort for families walking a path you know all too well, and your loved ones' legacies continue to touch lives in meaningful ways. 💛
