Class of 2026 Graduate Spotlight ๐ŸŽ“
Meet Gio, a recent graduate of North Hardin High School in Radcliff, KY.

Gio was first diagnosed with leukemia at just 6 years old. Over the years, he faced an incredibly complex journey, including two bone marrow transplants and a relapse. In 2024, after entering the survivorship program, he was diagnosed with a high-grade central nervous tumor linked to earlier treatment. Today, Gio continues regular scans, and his tumor remains stable.

Through it all, Gio has kept moving forward with strength and determination. This fall, he plans to attend a local community and technical college to continue his technology career path, picking back up on the goals he had to pause during treatment.

Congratulations, Gio! Weโ€™re celebrating this incredible milestone with you and cheering you on every step ahead! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

Class of 2026 Graduate Spotlight ๐ŸŽ“

Meet Ryan, a graduating senior from Anderson County High School in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

Diagnosed at age 9 with a rare and aggressive liver cancer, Ryan underwent chemotherapy and liver resection. In the face of a daunting treatment, Ryan kept a positive spirit while continuing to play baseball (his favorite game!). As one of the few children in his area with this diagnosis, his journey was often a unique one, but he and his family turned that challenge into action.

During treatment, Ryan and his family worked with state leaders to help Kentucky become the first state to commit dedicated funding for pediatric cancer research. He has continued advocating for that funding each year since. ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

Graduating at the end of May, Ryan is now looking ahead to college, where he plans to become an Emergency Medical Technician and pursue the fire service, following in his parentsโ€™ footsteps and continuing a passion for public service.

Congratulations, Ryan. Your commitment to helping others is already making a lasting impact, and your future holds even more. ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ This Memorial Day, as we gather for backyard cookouts, pool days, and the unofficial start of summer, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made those moments possible.

At CURE Childhood Cancer, weโ€™re reminded every day how precious childhood truly is. Summer should mean scraped knees, popsicles, late sunsets, and carefree laughter... not hospital stays, treatments, and fear.

Thatโ€™s why we fight so hard for children facing cancer. Because every child deserves the chance to simply be a kid.

Wishing you a meaningful Memorial Day and a summer filled with sunshine and precious time with the people you love. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™
