Arts N Action is a summer initiative from Out of Hand's Creative Kids, designed to help students enhance communication, creativity, and collaboration through the arts. This special performance is a chance for our talented participants to showcase their incredible hard work.

🎭 Bring your children, grandchildren, neighbors, and friends!

Out of Hand Impact touches community members big and small. 🚸

🖍️ This 2025-2026 school year, our Creative Kids program served over 500 FREE theater classes to students under-resourced schools around Metro Atlanta.

🧡 A heartfelt thank you goes out to our sponsors: Chestnut Family Foundation, The Zeist Foundation, Inc., Fulton County, John H. & Wilhelmina D. Harland Charitable Foundation Inc., Stefaniyemiya Ingram Hazell, Karen Paty, Kathy Waller, and Anne Bucey.

Through their generous support, we’ve seen 90% of our students use theater to enhance their creativity, collaboration, communication, and confidence! Skills that will allow them to interrupt the cycle of poverty.

We also want to thank the following participating schools for trusting in the vision to train students in storytelling, staging, and performing for an audience. 🎭

🏫 Benteen Elementary, Barack and Michelle Obama Academy, Perkerson Elementary, Continental Colony Elementary, Burgess-Peterson Elementary, Peace Preparatory Academy, and Hope-Hill Elementary School.

🎒 If you’d like to learn more about bringing FREE theater classes to your school, please contact our Program Director Nikki Young, [email protected]

📣We are thrilled to welcome Allison Padilla-Goodman to the Out of Hand Community Advisory Board!

🌟 Beyond her primary work as the CEO of Giving Kitchen, Allison is an active member of the Atlanta community. She is an alumna of Leadership Atlanta, a member of the International Women’s Forum and the Atlanta Civic Collaboratory, and has served on multiple nonprofit boards, including Atlanta Way 2.0, the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, and the Howard School.

🎊 That's a wrap on Out of Hand Theater's 2026 season on Shows in Homes!

💭 As we reflect on our recent season of "Prisontown," we want to thank the ACLU of Georgia for their partnership in bringing vital conversations about immigration and detention to neighborhoods across Metro Atlanta.

🎭 Through 40+ performances hosted in homes and community spaces, audiences came together to engage in honest dialogue about the human impact of the nation’s immigration system.

🤝 With the help of partners like ACLU of Georiga, Out of Hand can continue its commitment to creating these spaces for expression and belonging — because every voice matters, and every community deserves to be heard.
