Meet the force behind NAAAP.

Every great convention starts long before the doors open, with the people who show up, strategize, and build the foundation for something bigger. As Executive Director of NAAAP, .wing has dedicated over a decade to growing a community where Asian and Pacific Islander professionals don't just belong, but lead.

From chapter president to Chief Strategy Officer to the helm of the entire organization, his journey is a testament to what Resonance & Resilience truly means; staying committed to a mission even when the work is quiet, the challenges are real, and the community is counting on you.

This July, we gather in Philadelphia to celebrate that mission together. We can't wait to see you there.

API WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP

We are Asian American women. We are doctors, executives, advocates, and changemakers. We carry our culture with pride, lead with purpose, and show up, fully in every room we enter.

And this July, we take the stage.

"API Women: Everything, Everywhere, All At Once" is more than a session. It's a declaration that our stories matter, our leadership is undeniable, and our time is now.

Four extraordinary women. One powerful conversation.

๐ŸŽค Grace Wu Kong โ€” 35 Years in Healthcare | President, Asian American Women Coalition
๐ŸŽค Mary Pao, MD, PhD โ€” CMO, ANI Pharmaceuticals | Physician. Scientist. Executive
๐ŸŽค Bhavya Suggala โ€” Advocate. Organizer. The next generation of API leadership
๐ŸŽค Judi Rhee Alloway โ€” Global Innovation Expert | Forbes & NPR | Moderator

Come to Philadelphia. Leave unstoppable.

Quiz Time: Why May? ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ

Ever wondered why we celebrate Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Heritage Month in May?

According to Brittanica.com:

May 7, 1843 marks the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants to the United States.

May 10, 1869: (Golden Spike Day) Marks the completion of the transcontinental railroad, which was built largely by Chinese laborers.

What started as a commemorative week signed by President Jimmy Carter in 1978 was later extended to the full month of May in 1992. Itโ€™s a time to honor the generations of AAPIs who have enriched American history and are instrumental in its future success.

How many did you get right? Let us know in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Introducing one of our speakers for Leadership Convention: Resonance & Resilience
Kenneth Wong, entrepreneur, civic leader, and proud son of Philadelphia.

Born and raised in Northeast Philly to immigrant parents from Southern China, Ken has spent decades building businesses, serving on national boards, and representing his community at the highest levels, including the Presidentโ€™s Commission on AAPIs and as Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (now Emeritus). From his civic work as Chairman of the Board for the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and as Board Member to the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, to his nonprofit work as a Board Member for American Red Cross Eastern Pennsylvania Region and as a member of The Union League of Philadelphia, to his service as Chairman of the Board for USA Badminton, Ken has given generously and often back to Philadelphia and the API community. His entrepreneurial work in bridging opportunities between the U.S. and China exemplifies his deep commitment to bringing together American values with Asian heritage.

At Leadership Convention, he shares his conviction with the next generation of leaders and shows that resilience isnโ€™t inherited, itโ€™s built with consistency and maintained through reputation.

Join us from Thursday, July 16 to Sunday, July 19, 2026 at the Sonesta Philadelphia.

What does it mean show resonance and exhibit resilience?

For Nydia Han, it means having conviction and perseverance, and spending over 20 years using journalism as a force for justice; investigating the stories that matter, amplifying voices that deserve to be heard, and showing up for the Asian American community when it counts.

An Emmy Award-winning journalist, co-anchor at 6 ABC Action News, and past NAAAP Inspire honoree, Nydia brings more than a career to the LC26 stage. She brings conviction.

We are honored to welcome her back to NAAAP for its 2026 Leadership Convention.

Join us from Thursday, July 16 to Sunday, July 19, 2026 at the Sonesta Philadelphia.
