Across North America, NAAAP chapters serve communities in cities with their own people, perspectives, opportunities, and experiences.

Leadership Convention creates something special: an opportunity for members and leaders from across that broader community to come together, connect, exchange ideas, and learn from one another.

Because being one organization doesn’t mean every chapter or every community, has to look the same.

Unity isn’t about uniformity.

It’s about recognizing the strength of our different experiences while staying connected by a shared mission, commitment to leadership, community, and creating opportunities for others.

Sometimes, it happens in the conversations between sessions. In the questions we ask. In the experiences we share. In the connections that turn into mentorship, collaboration, and opportunity.

We all have something we’ve told ourselves we’ll do “one day.”

Start the business. Apply for the opportunity. Pursue the promotion. Bring the idea to life. Learn something new. Make a change.

But “one day” doesn’t have a date on the calendar.

Day One does.

Day One isn’t about having every answer or knowing exactly what comes next. It’s about taking the first step that’s possible from where you are and being willing to learn along the way.

Because confidence doesn’t always come before action.

Sometimes it looks more like:

Action → Experience → Growth → Confidence.

This summer, members of our NAAAP community came together in Philadelphia for Leadership Convention 2026: Resonance & Resilience, a space to learn, connect, celebrate, and grow alongside leaders from across our organization and community.

But Leadership Convention is more than keynotes, sessions, workshops, and events.

It’s the people who fill the rooms.

Every great convention starts long before the doors open, with the people who show up, strategize, and build the foundation for something bigger. As Executive Director of NAAAP, .wing has dedicated over a decade to growing a community where Asian and Pacific Islander professionals don't just belong, but lead.

From chapter president to Chief Strategy Officer to the helm of the entire organization, his journey is a testament to what Resonance & Resilience truly means; staying committed to a mission even when the work is quiet, the challenges are real, and the community is counting on you.
