Our Core Curriculum consists of:
- Recruitment
- Orientation (including drug awareness)
- Industry Awareness
- Basic math for tradesmen / blueprint reading
- Tools and materials
- First aid / CPR
- OSHA 10hr certification training
- Job readiness (dress code, interview skills, exam prep)
- Site visits

Participants will receive instruction from experienced craft persons and professionals that will

prepare them for entrance exams and interviews. The Trade-UP basic curriculum will prepare graduates for entry into these programs

The Trade Up Training Program continues to demonstrate what is possible when workforce development meets community investment. This cohort committed themselves to learning, growth, and preparation for careers in high-demand industries—and the results speak for themselves.

Through hands-on training and industry-recognized certifications, participants gained the tools needed to compete, succeed, and create lasting economic opportunities for themselves and their families.

As we celebrate this graduating class, we are reminded that programs like Trade Up are about more than certifications. They are about creating access, removing barriers, and building pathways to careers that can change lives.

Congratulations to every participant who completed the program. Your dedication and perseverance have laid the foundation for what comes next.

From CPR & First Aid to OSHA 30, GPRO, and Lead Paint Abatement certifications — this group put in the work and earned every accomplishment through discipline, focus, and determination.

This program is more than training — it’s about creating pathways to opportunity, economic mobility, and sustainable careers in the green workforce industry. ⚡🏗️

The future is bright for our Trade Up Program Participants!

We are so excited for our Trade Up trainees as they near the end of their program journey. Last week, participants had the opportunity to earn certifications in OSHA 30 and Lead-Based Paint Abatement — gaining critical skills that prepare them for careers in construction, environmental safety, and the workforce of today and tomorrow.

Each certification represents hard work, commitment, and a step toward economic opportunity and long-term success. We are proud of every trainee for showing up, putting in the work, and continuing to TRADE UP toward a brighter future.

The care, nourishment, memory making, love, hugs, healing, affirmation, beauty, and strength that you provide keeps our community more whole, growing, and thriving every single day.

We are mothers, aunties, nieces, sisters, grandmothers, mentors, and friends — and in every role we fill, we lead with intention, compassion, and lasting impact.

This weekend, we celebrate the women who continue to show up for their families, neighborhoods, and communities with power and purpose.

Today, Georgia STAND-UP and Trade Up is at the Metro Atlanta Urban Farm with Bobby Wilson, where our Trade Up trainees are putting in real work—helping prepare the farm for 200 volunteers who will be serving the community.
