We had a wonderful visit yesterday with some of the team at CHRIS 180 and were so impressed with the breadth of their services, their spaces, and the dignity- and human-centered approach that is evident throughout their work.

Our conversation focused on the intersection of our missions and how we can work collaboratively to better support the families and children we serve. One of our biggest takeaways? No one organization can meet every need, which is why strong, intentional partnerships are so important.

We participated in the Georgia State University Social Impact Expo on Tuesday! It was incredible to be in a room filled with nonprofits like ours with one goal in mind: serving our youth. We had a great time meeting service-minded young adults looking for ways to get involved.

Yesterday, Atlanta CASA CEO Domonique Cooper participated alongside Jen King, ED of Georgia CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) ; Pamela Talley, SVP of foster care and prevention services at Bloom; and Heather Rowles, ED of the Multi-Agency Alliance for Children, Inc as part of the Protecting Atlanta's Foster Children Panel with the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta . Our own Tandi Von-Holland, advocacy coordinator and internship director, joined as a special guest representing Atlanta CASA.

The conversation focused on the journey of children experiencing foster care, the importance of advocacy, and the unique roles our organizations play in supporting children and families. We shared more about Atlanta CASA, how CASA volunteers support children in Fulton County, and the importance of having consistent advocacy in a child’s life.

We were honored to participate in the conversation and to work with others who are committed to advocating for children and strengthening community partnerships.
