As we recognize National Foster Care Month in May, we celebrate a valued member of the Atlanta CASA Board of Directors. Antwan Lang brings both professional leadership and deeply personal insight to our mission. Having been adopted through foster care at four years old, Mr. Lang understands firsthand the profound impact that advocacy, stability, and compassionate adults can have in the life of a child navigating uncertainty. His journey is a powerful testament to how guidance, support, and opportunity can change the trajectory of a young person’s life.

This personal connection fuels Mr. Lang’s commitment to Atlanta CASA’s mission of advocating for children who have experienced abuse and neglect. He believes every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and heard, regardless of their circumstances. Through his service on our board, he helps champion the importance of ensuring that every child in foster care has someone standing in the gap and advocating for their best interests.

We are honored to have Mr. Lang serve alongside Atlanta CASA as we work to create pathways of hope, healing, and opportunity for children and families across our community.

LaQuita has been serving on her CASA case since April 2024 and has demonstrated unwavering commitment throughout. Her dedication to advocating for the child’s best interests reflects her genuine compassion. Her consistent presence provides stability and encouragement to the child she supports.

Beyond fulfilling her court responsibilities, LaQuita actively engages with the child outside the courtroom—whether communicating with the school to ensure educational needs are met or celebrating the child’s birthday in their current placement, she consistently shows up and makes a meaningful difference.
