The worst time to go to therapy is when you need to go to therapy. The best time to go to therapy is when you don’t need to go to therapy.

Having trouble finding a therapist? Come out to our Speed Therapy event May 14th at Network ATL from 6-9PM. Get a chance to sit and talk with multiple therapists and find one that’s right for you.

What a time! So many great moments and conversations held at the Restoration & Representation Summit. We did it once and we kept our word and ran it back again. A lot of familiar and new faces came to show support and create change, recognizing how important it is to discuss the issues regarding our criminal justice system!

If you missed this one, keep an eye out for all our summit content, and make sure you tap in with us next year!

Join us at our next Black Men’s Circle, Wednesday May 6th at Exchange Park (2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30034)

This gathering is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where we can have honest and meaningful discussions about mental health. It’s time to break down the barriers, challenge the stigma, and give ourselves permission to heal and grow. Whether you’re seeking connection, advice, or simply a place to be heard, this circle is for you. Together, we’ll share experiences, build community, and learn how to navigate life’s challenges with strength and resilience.

From affirmations to real talk about mental health, this is where brotherhood is built.

Pull up. Bring a friend. Let’s keep the momentum going. Register through the link in our bio.

We are back at it again changing the stigmas of mental health and therapy with Speed Therapy !

Black Male Initiative is dedicated to creating spaces that encourage positive mental health. Current times may be troubling and access to affordable mental healthcare can be tough to find but we are committed to creating solutions that address these challenges.

Join Black Male Initiative on July 24th as we’re creating space for healing, connection, and transformation over at Network ATL (1556 Nabell Ave., East Point, GA) from 6:00-9:00 PM for an evening of real conversation and intentional care.

Through brief one-on-one sessions with licensed therapists, social workers, and counselors, Black men can find the right support to begin their mental health journey. BMI will cover the first session and assist with scheduling - because access should never be the barrier.

Tap in. Pull up. Let’s heal.

At Black Male Initiative our community engagement begins with events like our Men’s Circles! The Men’s Circle exists to remind us that emotional honesty is a source of strength, connection, and healing. It’s where our stories are reclaimed, our definitions of manhood are challenged, and our ability to feel is restored.

To be Justice Impacted means you have been negatively affected by the criminal justice system. We must have conversations of consequence in order to ensure actionable solutions are created in this fight against injustice. This panel with BMI’s Founder John R. Taylor III and Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Fleanory, hosted by Wayno was a progressive step in this effort!

The system stacks so many barriers up against Justice Impacted individuals once they come home. Our job is to implement restorative practices and repair harm not only with these individuals but also within our communities so we can help our brothers and sisters succeed once they get home!
