With the Premier League back, football might mean very different things depending on who you ask. ⚽

For some people, it's just the match. For others, it's the build-up, the group chat, Fantasy Football, away days and keeping up with scores across the weekend.

Having something you love outside your relationship is healthy. But hobbies still take up time, money and headspace, and sometimes couples have different ideas about how much space they should take up.

How do you make room for the things you each love in your relationship? ❤️

Netflix's Love Is Blind UK is back, so naturally we're all about to have opinions from the sofa. 🍿

The pods are great for the big conversations: values, family, s*x, marriage, children, the future.

But a relationship also gets tested in the everyday stuff: Who needs space after a bad day? How do you deal with money? What happens when plans change? What do you both do when communication goes a bit off?Two people can want the same things and still find the everyday part of being together hard. ❤️

That’s where Relate’s advice and support can help - with the real-life patterns and pressures that sit between people, not just the big relationship milestones. ⤵️

With exam results coming in over the next couple of weeks, there can be a lot of emotions at home, and not just for the person opening the results.

If things haven’t gone the way your teenager hoped, your first instinct might be to jump into problem-solving mode. But before talking about next steps or changing plans, they might just need you to listen. ❤️

Give them space to feel disappointed. Try not to compare their results with friends or classmates. And remember, you don’t have to figure everything out straight away.

Sometimes the most helpful thing to remember is: we’ll work out what comes next together.
