The so-called ‘ceasefire’ should have given people in Gaza the space to begin rebuilding permanent health facilities.

Instead, Israel’s attacks on Gaza’s healthcare system and restrictions on aid continue.

Israeli attacks in Gaza are also affecting humanitarian operations, and our teams are having to take extreme precaution.

Last weekend, a MAP car was damaged by a nearby airstrike in Gaza City.

The location of the attack was a road that’s also used by MAP’s bus which transports cancer patients to the hospital for their chemotherapy treatment.

“They say there is a ceasefire, but people are still being attacked in their homes, while walking in the street, and while going to work. It can happen anywhere.” – Mostafa Abujayab, MAP Medical Coordinator at Al Shifa Hospital.

Since the so-called ceasefire agreement last October, at least 1,421 Palestinians have been killed and 4,983 have been injured in Israeli military attacks.

The UK Government must ensure that Israel’s genocide is brought to a permanent end.

Updated satellite images show the scale of Israel's destruction in Gaza.

"Many of the empty brown spaces on these maps were once busy neighbourhoods where my colleagues and our families lived and worked - full of life, activity and memories.

Now areas such as Rafah and those beyond the “Yellow Line” have been almost erased. I remember when the world said Rafah was a 'red line'. Today, these maps expose how those promises were devastatingly and cynically abandoned.” – Fikr Shalltoot, MAP’s Gaza Director

For almost three years, the Israeli military has systematically destroyed hospitals, schools, and entire communities in Gaza.

❌ This destruction cannot become normalised. Israel’s genocide must end.

Children deserve the chance to grow up safely and with dignity in Gaza.

Newborns in the NICU right now were born during the so-called “ceasefire”. But in reality, they were born into an ongoing genocide – their mothers faced repeated displacement, overcrowding and lack of food and hygiene, all while pregnant.

Gaza’s healthcare system remains in critical condition, and Israeli authorities are restricting essential supplies like oxygen, threatening the already-fragile lives of premature and newborn babies.
