Last night we hosted our Pride Parliamentary Reception, at the Houses of Parliament, bringing together business and third sector leaders, Parliamentarians, sector partners and supporters to reflect, connect, and enjoy each otherโ€™s company.

After a turbulent and challenging year for many in our community, it was especially meaningful to hear words of support from our speakers โ€“ including the Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities Bridget Phillipson. We were pleased to hear her speak about the Governmentโ€™s intention to end conversion practices: "Conversion practices are nothing other than abuse. They are inhumane practices that happen today, they should not be happening in our country. And we will do everything within our power to stop them, including bringing forward a full trans-inclusive ban."

Securing legislative change is a vital part of Stonewall's mission to improve the lives of + people across the UK. To help us sustain this work, please consider donating. We simply would not be able to achieve the impact we do without the generosity of our supporters, and we are deeply grateful for every contribution. https://bit.ly/4pKk4Wu

Are you coming to Out an Wild festival, 3-6 July 2026? Out and Wild Festival is the UK's biggest festival designed for + women & those who are non-binary. Alongside spoken word, music and comedy, wellness and workout experiences are run throughout the day including yoga, gong baths, breathwork, dance classes, kirtan and forest bathing.

This year, Stonewallโ€™s Senior Workplace Programmes Officer Alice Glass will be part of the line-up. 'I'm so excited to be attending this year's Out and Wild festival to deliver a workshop exploring identities beyond the binary. It's so special to be part of an event focused on sharing intergenerational experiences from q***r women and non-binary people. This Pride month it feels more important than ever to be in LGBTQ+ spaces and to experience q***r joy (there is a silent disco I'm very much look forward to)!โ€™

The festival is an amazing place for people to come together, connect with one another and share joy. We hope to see some of you there!

We'll also be at to celebrate and stand in solidarity with trans communities. If you spot us at a march this summer, be sure to give us a wave ๐Ÿ‘‹

Can't make it to one of these events? There are more than 270 Pride celebrations taking place across the UK in 2026, so there's likely one near you. And if marching isn't your thing, there are plenty of other ways to get involved and help .

Gateshead Council's new leader Nick Allan has called Pride a 'socio-political radical action' โ€“ and pulled funding, as well as pulling down the Pride flag.

He is wrong. Pride is a protest โ€“ because the trans+ community is under attack, because LGBTQ+ people are scared to hold their partner's hand in public, because the Government still hasn't banned harmful conversion practices that tell LGBTQ+ people they are 'wrong'. And Pride is also a celebration โ€“ because people in this country care about including others, because as a nation we've come so far forward together, and because we everyone, everywhere deserves equal rights.

Reform-led councils are setting out to reduce the visibility of Pride, banning Pride flags from council buildings, cancelling Pride flag-raising events, and preventing libraries from promoting LGBTQ+ events.

But gestures like this from Reform UK are just that... gimmicks designed to divide. Pride won't be stopped, and the flag will still fly high.

Happy Pride month to all who celebrate. And also to those that don't!

โ€œThere was something profoundly joyous and moving, marching openly through the streets where for generations LGBTQ+ people were forced to hide who they were. For so many years, people had lived with fear, shame and isolation, yet there we were, together, visible and unapologetic.โ€

We loved to hear this from Minister for Equalities Olivia Bailey MP about her first march during UK House of Commons Pride debate.

This Pride month let's find joy and fun in our togetherness while remembering the freedoms and rights we continue to fight for.

๐ŸŒˆ Today we hosted a roundtable with Dame Kelly Holmes Official to explore how we can work together to remove barriers and increase opportunities for participation for + people in sport, exercise and movement.

It was brilliant to get into a room with people working across grassroot sport, higher education and LGBTQ+ inclusion as well as a number of LGBTQ+ athletes.

We learned a lot, shared some great experiences and left feeling hopeful and energised. We look forward to sharing the outcomes of our conversation very soon.

Rainbow Laces is working to create a visible network of belonging so that LGBTQ+ people can move with pride.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Today we're sharing some exciting news! Diversity Role Models is joining the Stonewall family, bringing together fifteen years of trusted anti-bullying education with Stonewall's national reach and infrastructure.

Diversity Role Modelsโ€™ programmes, its people and its approach continue. This new chapter brings the opportunity to reach young people in areas and communities it has not previously been able to serve.

Together, we share a vision of schools across the UK where individual differences are celebrated, where empathy is taught, and where every young person knows they belong.
