If only we could bottle the magic of a SportInspired festival. Our volunteers come away feeling like they’ve made a real difference. It’s more than just sport for the children, it’s good for their soul, building confidence and core memories that last a lifetime.
We’re always looking for new partners, so if this speaks to you, spread the word. Let’s create these lasting memories together!

Our why…
You can see the passion when our CEO, Rich, speaks. The belief he has in this cause is unmistakable. For him, the mission has always been the same: every child, everywhere, enjoying being active. His dedication (and, let’s be honest, being backed by an amazing team 😜) is the driving force behind everything we do.

Ep. 6 – Meet the Team featuring Harry (Programme Manager)

⭐ A little bit about Harry:
Harry joined SportInspired in August 2025, starting part-time delivering leadership courses and bringing big energy to festival days. Before joining the team, he was in Santa Marta, Colombia, working with the El Rio Foundation Co an experience that shaped his passion for community development! He became a full-time Programme Manager in January 2026, taking on the challenge of rebuilding our programmes in Waltham Forest, Haringey, and Barking & Dagenham. Harry developed these boroughs from scratch, creating strong foundations for long-term impact while continuing to deliver at festivals and leadership sessions.

⭐ What drives Harry?
Sport has always been at the centre of Harry’s life... from competitive matches to weekend games with friends and family. Knowing how much sport shaped his own confidence and wellbeing, he’s driven by the belief that every child should have those same opportunities during their most formative years. For him, sport and play aren’t just activities; they're the "best facilitators of a more enriched life." 👏

⭐ What energises him most:
Harry loves the people. From teachers and children to sports providers and the SportInspired team, he thrives on the relationships he builds every day. He loves that programme delivery takes him to new corners of London he’d never usually visit, and with no two days alike, every day at SportInspired feels rewarding

⭐ His favourite festival memory:
Harry’s first-ever festival sticks with him: a UBS Client Games event where professionals from the financial sector joined 250 young people for a day of sport and play. Watching corporate teams - usually immersed in high-pressure work - let loose, laugh, and reconnect with their inner child was genuinely touching. It captured the magic of SportInspired perfectly: everyone involved truly benefits.

⭐ Fun fact:
Harry has some impressive cricketing stories up his sleeve. He played in the first-ever game of rounders at The Oval, and even competed in two national tournaments in Colombia, representing Santa Marta and Barranquilla against teams from across Colombia and Curaçao 🏏👏

What a day! ☀️
Exhausting in the most wonderful way.

We’d like to give a massive thank you to Sheliesa and for bringing so much energy to today’s festival. The sun was shining, the games were nonstop, and the sound of children squealing with laughter pretty much said it all 🏃💛

It’s National Children’s Day!!! 🎉
Every day, whether we’re in schools running Team Spirit workshops, delivering Leadership Skills sessions, or bringing whole schools and communities together at our festivals, we get to watch children explore, try new things and grow in confidence! Seeing them laugh, make friends, surprise themselves and feel proud of what they can do is the most rewarding part of our work. They are at the heart of everything we do at SportInspired, so let’s celebrate them today 💛

How do you create a day where more than 200 children feel inspired, confident and connected through sport? ⭐

By bringing schools together, empowering Young Leaders, and working with partners and volunteers who believe in the power of community! We were fortunate to be supported by the Peabody Community Foundation and the L&Q Community Foundation, whose funding and volunteers helped make our Waltham Forest festival in April such a success!

The festival gave children the chance to try new exciting sports and experience the joy of teamwork! Peabody’s new article captures the impact beautifully!

We're supporting the Mental Health Foundation on Mental Health Awareness Week by remembering that some children often carry more than we can see...

When we look a little deeper, we can support them a little better!

SportInspired summer has officially started! ☀️💙

We’ve already had two festivals over the past couple of weeks, with some really exciting sports on the timetable… baseball, taekwondo, judo, archery, fencing, basketball, to name a few!

And of course dancing, which always ends up being a favourite with the kids (and the adults, we’ll be honest!) 😉

Huge thanks to all the brilliant sports providers and volunteers who brought so much energy and made it all happen!

Here’s to plenty more festivals this summer, is anyone else excited?? 🙌
