Ep. 6 – Meet the Team featuring Harry (Programme Manager)
⭐ A little bit about Harry:
Harry joined SportInspired in August 2025, starting part-time delivering leadership courses and bringing big energy to festival days. Before joining the team, he was in Santa Marta, Colombia, working with the El Rio Foundation Co an experience that shaped his passion for community development! He became a full-time Programme Manager in January 2026, taking on the challenge of rebuilding our programmes in Waltham Forest, Haringey, and Barking & Dagenham. Harry developed these boroughs from scratch, creating strong foundations for long-term impact while continuing to deliver at festivals and leadership sessions.
⭐ What drives Harry?
Sport has always been at the centre of Harry’s life... from competitive matches to weekend games with friends and family. Knowing how much sport shaped his own confidence and wellbeing, he’s driven by the belief that every child should have those same opportunities during their most formative years. For him, sport and play aren’t just activities; they're the "best facilitators of a more enriched life." 👏
⭐ What energises him most:
Harry loves the people. From teachers and children to sports providers and the SportInspired team, he thrives on the relationships he builds every day. He loves that programme delivery takes him to new corners of London he’d never usually visit, and with no two days alike, every day at SportInspired feels rewarding
⭐ His favourite festival memory:
Harry’s first-ever festival sticks with him: a UBS Client Games event where professionals from the financial sector joined 250 young people for a day of sport and play. Watching corporate teams - usually immersed in high-pressure work - let loose, laugh, and reconnect with their inner child was genuinely touching. It captured the magic of SportInspired perfectly: everyone involved truly benefits.
⭐ Fun fact:
Harry has some impressive cricketing stories up his sleeve. He played in the first-ever game of rounders at The Oval, and even competed in two national tournaments in Colombia, representing Santa Marta and Barranquilla against teams from across Colombia and Curaçao 🏏👏
