📈 New research from Oxfam Great Britain shows billionaire wealth has surged to its highest level ever
⚖️ Released as the World Economic Forum begins in Davos, the findings lay bare the UK’s extreme wealth inequality: the richest 56 people now hold more wealth than 27 million people combined
🏛️ This concentration of wealth has real consequences for our economy and our democracy. Billionaires are estimated to be 4,000 times more likely to hold political office than ordinary citizens.
A fair economy needs fairer rules- and action to tackle runaway wealth inequality.
