🎉 AI for Good 2.0 is here!

Today, we’re excited to launch AI for Good 2.0 - our brand-new, free, project-based computing course designed to help every young person thrive in an AI-enabled world.

With AI for Good 2.0 students will:

🤖 Explore how AI works, including bias, ethics and deepfakes
💡 Design and build AI-powered apps to tackle challenges they care about
🧠 Develop essential life skills including creativity, teamwork and problem-solving
🌍 Discover how technology can be a force for good

We’ve also launched a brand-new platform and made exciting updates to your educator dashboard! Everyone, including existing Apps for Good teachers, will need to register on the new platform to access AI for Good 2.0 and the full Apps for Good experience.

Just 1 week to go until AI for Good 2.0 launches!

AI is already part of young people's everyday lives. But alongside exciting opportunities come important questions around safety, wellbeing, bias and misinformation.

AI for Good 2.0 is a free, project-based computing course that gives young people the knowledge and confidence to navigate these challenges, while reframing AI as a force for good. Students don't just learn about AI, they use it to design solutions to real-world problems that matter to them.

By developing purpose, agency and essential skills alongside technical understanding, AI for Good 2.0 helps young people move from passive users of technology to confident creators. We hope it will inspire even more students, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, to study computer science and explore future careers in tech.

This Youth Employment Week, we're celebrating the power of meaningful employer engagement.

Research from the Education and Employers charity found that young people with the highest levels of employer engagement before age 16 have 80% lower odds of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training) than those with the lowest levels of engagement.

At Apps for Good, we bring industry into the classroom through our industry engagement sessions and our annual Showcase - helping young people build confidence, develop future-ready skills and connect their learning to the world of work.
