We're looking for a confident, proactive Mentoring Specialist who is passionate about building trusted relationships, supporting young people and empowering volunteers to create meaningful, lasting change.
‎
This could be the perfect role for you if you're passionate about:
⭐ Building trusted relationships with young people, families, volunteer mentors and community partners
⭐ Recruiting, training and supporting volunteer mentors while managing up to 20 one-to-one mentoring relationships
⭐ Creating meaningful opportunities for young people and mentors to connect, grow and celebrate success through mentoring, trips and residential experiences
⭐ Championing safeguarding, equity and inclusion while using data and learning to continually improve our impact

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our belief in the potential of every young person and wants to play a key role in helping them succeed.

There is something truly special about stepping out of the normal routine, leaving the city behind and spending a week at camp with young people!
‎
Between the beach games, deep chats around the campfire, serving early morning breakfasts and being buried under several pebbles (all in the name of youth work and trust-building!), this summer trip has been a reminder of why we do what we do.
‎
Youth work is about creating space for young people to be themselves. It's a joy to be with them as they laugh freely and build confidence to see a bigger picture for their lives.
‎
Grateful for an unforgettable summer of community and joy. Huge shoutout to the incredible team and youth workers at XLP who make moments like these possible!

We took a group to Snow Camp Charity where they hit the snow and blew everyone away! They were noted as some of the most skilled first-timers they’ve ever seen. 🤯🤯 We are SO proud of them all! 💪🙌 Special thanks to the amazing team) for making it happen.

And look at the journey! One girl there - this time last year she was a beginner, never touched snow. Now she’s just secured her place on the Snow Camp Apprenticeship! 😭 What an inspiration! ❤️

An opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to lead ambitious income growth, secure major grants and gifts, and shape the future of XLP's fundraising.
• Full-time, permanent
• Salary: £38,000 to £42,000

Do you have professional double decker bus driving experience and want to use your skills to support young people across London?

XLP is looking for qualified and experienced double decker bus drivers to join our team on a sessional basis, driving our Mobile Youth Centres, converted double decker buses, to the communities, estates and schools where we deliver youth work sessions.
‎
You’ll help keep our buses moving safely by carrying out checks, recording inspections and reporting any maintenance issues, while playing a vital role in bringing youth work directly to young people.
‎

💼 Employed Sessional Worker
💷 £14.80 per hour (plus 12.07% holiday pay)

Summer has arrived in its usual style: sunshine one minute and “you might still need a jumper, just in case” the next.

As the days get longer, our work shifts into a new rhythm of holiday support, trips, activities and residentials - both across London and outside.
‎
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who makes this possible. Every conversation, every challenge overcome and every moment of encouragement happens because people choose to stand alongside young people.
‎
Over the summer, more stories will unfold. There will be moments where young people try something new, build confidence and discover they can have another go when things don’t work out the first time.

South London, you brought the energy! ☀️✨

Our Summer Fair with St. Faith’s Church was pure community magic.

Over 400 of you came through including young people from across our South London projects, amazing local partners and our PCSOs - all to connect, unwind and just vibe. 🍔🎨

🗣️ “The best thing about today is the community and all people being together.”

Who better to tell that story than our amazing young people? A huge shoutout to our future social media stars, Ferus and Constance, who interviewed the community to capture what the day meant to them! 💙

What an incredible evening at our Annual Fundraising Dinner!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. We were so encouraged by the generosity and belief in young people that filled the room throughout the evening, and we're delighted that the evening raised funds to be invested in young people's futures, potentials and possibilities.

Bringing together supporters, partners, friends and champions of XLP is always special. So thank you to everyone who attended, who gave and who shared in the vision to help make the evening such a success. We're deeply grateful for your support and excited about what it will make possible in the year ahead.
