Grazie per la partecipazione!

Ieri abbiamo avuto l’onore di partecipare alla tradizionale processione della Madonna del Carmelo a Londra, una celebrazione che si svolge ogni anno dal 1896 e che fa parte della storia della comunità italiana nella capitale britannica.

Abbiamo dato il nostro contributo al servizio d’ordine lungo il percorso .Abbiamo avuto il piacere di scattare una foto ricordo insieme agli agenti della Polizia Metropolitana che hanno collaborato alla sicurezza della manifestazione.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the OGI (Olimpiadi Gioventù Italiana) on a very successful event held at the Stonex Stadium last weekend! Our own Padre Giuseppe was present to lend his support - even taking part in the final relay event - but unfortunately he took a tumble and injured his shoulder. He received excellent care at Barnet General Hospital and is now back at the Church and on the road to recovery. We thank you all for your kind messages of support and look forward to seeing you on Sunday 19 July at the procession for the Festa della Madonna del Carmine!

JULY 19 - SAVE THE DATE!!!

Just over 4 weeks to go until the Procession of the Madonna del Carmine (our Lady of Mount Carmel). The historic procession, which dates back to the 1880s, will begin right outside St Peter’s Italian Church on Clerkenwell Road at 3:30 pm.

The Madonna and statues of the Saints from the church will be paraded through the streets, accompanied by parishioners of all ages dressed in traditional costumes, many depicting biblical scenes – as well as representatives from Italian associations and community groups.

Throughout the day, just around the corner from the church on Warner Street, there will be stalls open selling delicious Italian food, drinks and memorabilia, so why not stop off for a panino or some porchetta – or maybe even a glass of Prosecco? All profits go to St Peter’s Italian Church.

What a joy to welcome Padre Carmelo once again to St Peter’s Italian Church where he served as Parish Priest for more than 40 years until 2014! Padre Carmelo will be visiting as many people as he can during his stay over the next few weeks including his annual trip (5th year) to the Villa Scalabrini nursing home where he will celebrate mass with Padre Alberto and the residents, most of whom remember him very well from many years ago!

Just one year ago, superstar soprano Carly Paoli treated a packed St Peter’s Italian Church to a beautiful concert of songs reflecting her Anglo-Italian Heritage!

A truly wonderful evening that will live long in the memory of those present, many of whom were moved to tears by the sheer emotion and power of Carly’s performance!

Carly followed in the footsteps of Italian opera greats like Caruso and Gigli - who previously sang in St Peter’s - and to cap it all, ticket sales and donations raised over £1,700 for the Italian Church!

Pilgrimage to Aylesford Friary - LAST TICKETS!

The annual pilgrimage to the Friary at Aylesford will take place on Sunday, 7th June 2026, and we have just a few seats remaining on our coach transport, so please act quickly to avoid disappointment!

The coach departs from St Peter’s Italian Church at 8.30 am - returning from Aylesford at 5.30 pm.
