ACE’s latest fundraising challenge, Fly for ACE, sees founder Ebony Rainford-Brent MBE joined by Director Chevy Green, Trustee Callum Doyle, and ACE Scholar Donovan Miller as they take on the adrenaline-fuelled Zip World in North Wales.
Taking place as the charity celebrates its 6th anniversary, this high-flying challenge is all about pushing boundaries and stepping out of comfort zones—just as ACE encourages young people to do every day. Funds raised will go directly towards the ACE Rookie Contract, supporting the next generation of talented players with the opportunity, resources, and pathways they need to succeed.
Every donation, big or small, will help us go further, faster and continue opening doors for future county cricketers.

Help shape the future of ACE!
The ACE Programme is an independent charity with a clear mission: to support underrepresented talent from grassroots to elite level and inspire the wider game to reconnect the Black community with cricket. Since launching in 2020, ACE has grown from its origins at Surrey County Cricket Club into a national programme delivering across six UK cities.
As ACE continues to grow, it is looking to strengthen the Board of Trustees with individuals who can bring specific expertise, strategic insight and a genuine commitment to the charity’s mission.  
WE ARE TARGETING TRUSTEES WITH EXPERIENCE IN:
FINANCE
Experience in finance, accounting, or strategic financial oversight.
The Finance Trustee will chair the Finance Sub-Committee and provide financial leadership and oversight to the Board.  
LEGAL
Legal, governance, regulatory or risk expertise, with the ability to provide sound advice and challenge at Board level. A good understanding of charity law and an ability to identify risks in this area.  
FUNDRAISING
Experience of developing fundraising strategies, securing funding, building relationships with funders and/or high-value networks, and experience with development committees on behalf of a Board of trustees/directors.  
WOMEN’S PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT
Experience of raising the visibility of women’s sport to deliver impact; experience in either grassroots or elite performance within the sports industry; a connection to community sport, development programmes or active participation initiatives.
 COMMITMENTS:
Four Board meetings per year / Sub-committee meetings where required / Occasional strategic planning sessions / A commitment to ACE’s values and mission / 3-year terms for trustees

ACE trustees are non-remunerated, though reasonable travel expenses may be reimbursed.

Last week BA County Cricket Festivals held their first female only cricket festival. The Ace girls had an excellent week and although they didn’t win the overall tournament, there were lots to be proud of. Two of our girls won individuals awards, one for scoring the only hundred in the tournament and the other for a 5 wicket haul! Great work ladies 🏏🖤👏🏽

Lovely to celebrate Marley Simpson’s call up to the Surrey County Cricket Club first team as part of the Metro Bank One Day Squad!!!

Marley is a great ambassador for the charity rising through our academy ranks; with exceptional performances for the and the Surrey Second XI already this season!!!

We look forward to celebrating Marley’s impending debut!!!

The ACE academy had the privilege of a visit from one of our ambassadors Manny Lumsden. Manny put the participants through their paces with skill based activities and shared his knowledge of the game. It was clear to see the participants were inspired by Manny’s achievements which we hope will motivate and give them the confidence in the game.
