Let us be clear: Israeli settlements are established and expanded through a campaign of state-backed settler violence.

The UK cannot condemn settlements with one hand while allowing them to be openly marketed in London with the other.

If the government is serious about its opposition to settlements, it must:

- Start with a full ban on trade with Israeli settlements.

- Ensure UK authorities properly investigate the organisers of the Great Israeli Real Estate Event.

- Ensure that an event that enables war crimes and crimes against humanity is never allowed to take part on British soil again.

US-Iran deal risks becoming a shield behind which impunity continues.

Impunity, occupation and repression must not indefinitely persist.

For civilians in Iran, an end to bombardment alone will not guarantee the safety of a population subjected to an intensified campaign of repression by the Islamic Republic authorities.

The international community must act now to demand Israel’s immediate withdrawal from Lebanese territory and all of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, for those displaced to be allowed back safely and freely, for justice and reparation for victims of international law violations in Lebanon since 2023, and an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

The path to a better future for people in the region must put civilians and humanity first and offer longer term solutions to safeguard human rights, end impunity and address root causes.

“I was a doctor when they took me, and I am a doctor now that I have returned.

My commitment to my patients remains the one thing they could not take away.”

Dr. Ahmad Mhanna, former director of Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza, shares his harrowing testimony of survival.

In the occupied Gaza Strip, Palestinian healthcare workers have been facing unprecedented dangers, with many detained by Israeli forces under conditions that violate international humanitarian law.

Amnesty International continues to document these systemic abuses, including Israel’s widespread use of torture and other ill-treatment against Palestinian detainees, while demanding the immediate and unconditional release of all those arbitrarily detained.

Fear, division and hatred are becoming normalised.

But the scapegoating of migrants isn’t normal, and it isn’t fair.

Those who try to divide us are hoping we’ll stay silent.

But they’re wrong.

Because when we come together, we’re stronger - just like this England squad stepping onto the pitch tonight.

This team represents what it looks like when people from all walks of life and backgrounds stand side by side. This team shows the power of focusing on what unites us, rather than what sets us apart.

That same spirit is appearing across the country, in communities everywhere, people are choosing kindness over hate.

Whether its small acts of kindness or big stands against the powerful, its not just you – millions of us want a society built on kindness and free from hate.

And just like cheering on England, we know that when we stand side by side, we can achieve something bigger than ourselves.

The past weekend showed what the UK is really made of: solidarity, unity and love.

Thousands marched against racist violence, against division, against inequality.

In Belfast, the community rescued people from their homes as they were fire bombed by racists.

In Glasgow, thousands rallied against racism.

In Brighton, hundreds mobilised in solidarity.

Our response is unity, accountability, and collective resistance.

This is what terrorism now looks like in the UK.

Yesterday, the Court of Appeal accepted the Government's appeal and ruled that the Home Secretary's proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation was lawful.

Amnesty International is deeply disappointed by this decision.

Treating direct action as terrorism is a dangerous misuse of counter-terrorism powers and has led to thousands of arrests of entirely peaceful protesters - something that will long be remembered as a deeply shameful chapter in our history.

The fight is far from over. We will continue to challenge the government's efforts to crack down on our right to protest and hold power to account.

This , and every week, we stand 🧡

This could not be a more important time for us to come together to fight back...

As the rhetoric against people seeking asylum worsens by many in the media and many politicians.

And as the UK Government continues to refuse asylum to thousands of people seeking safety despite the real and ongoing dangers they face.

Amnesty UK activists have organised events around the country to support and stand in solidarity with refugees.

Find out where you can join an event this week to show your support for refugees and people seeking asylum 👇🏾

Today's ruling by the Court of Appeal is deeply disappointing.

This case remains about much more than one group.

What’s important for all of us to understand is that proscription is one of the strongest powers the government has.

Treating protest as terrorism leaves the door wide open for governments to suppress other protest movements in the future.

We have long said that the banning of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation is a grave misuse of counter-terrorism powers with serious consequences for human rights.

It is a huge overreach to treat direct action protest as terrorism.

Amnesty will continue to defend the freedoms that allow people to speak out and hold the powerful to account.

Cordelia is kissing the image of her beloved husband Tony, whom she lost to the Grenfell Tower Fire.

Her granddaughter Tallulah is walking behind her.

It would have been their 35th wedding anniversary this December.

Multiple generations of the same family have been affected by this injustice.

RIP Anthony “Tony” Disson.

RIP to all the 72 ❤️‍🩹💚
