WC At WC we offer counselling, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) personal development courses, mediation and workshops on health & wellbeing

A fundamental aim of WCis promoting social inclusion and preventing feelings of alienation and disillusionment in the community. Part of this venture involves schemes to prevent the tide of rising mental health issues amongst local women through activities focused on increasing women's confidence, raising self esteem and getting women actively participating in exercise classes, employment, further

education and they themselves working with public, voluntary and charity sectors. Providing emotional support, we aim to be a base where women who seldom express themselves at all, feel comfortable enough to communicate their feelings and emotions fully and honestly. WC is currently a small community project, aspiring to become a well established organisation nation-wide branching out to other projects. Various issues women suffer from include language problems, cultural problems, religious restrictions, lack of communication skills, discrimination and sometimes even discrimination from their own families. As well as these barriers, women can be reluctant to receive support from male workers. Women who are burdened with a heavy workload also may not have time to travel to an organisation for support, indirectly causing them to suffer. With all these issues existing and continuing to arise WC is created with the intention to build and encourage women who suffer both within the community and in the wider community. We wish to raise issues, work in collaboration with other groups, and represent the wellbeing of women's lives. The project also benefits women by providing access to other information and advice services so that they can further develop necessary skills required for active involvement.

Referrals are open for Reclaiming Your Life — a free 12-week therapeutic group for women who have experienced gender-based violence.

The group is facilitated by qualified therapists and offers a gentle, supportive space for women to begin reconnecting with themselves, making sense of their experiences, and finding practical ways to move forward.

This group has been intentionally developed with women from global majority communities in mind, while welcoming women from all backgrounds.

Groups are planned for autumn/winter 2026/27, once we have enough suitable participants confirmed.

Introductory calls are available from as early as this week, giving women the chance to speak with one of our facilitators, ask questions, and explore whether the group feels right for them.

Group options:
📍 Coventry face-to-face group
💻 Online group
⏳ 12 weekly sessions

You are always in control of what you share and can take part in a way that feels right for you.

When your mind is racing, your body is the anchor.

You know that feeling when everything feels too much? When you can't quite land in the present moment because you're caught between what happened and what might happen? This is for that.

The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique isn't just a wellness hack, it's a way of telling your nervous system: "We're safe now. We're here."

Try it today. Notice what you see, feel, hear, smell, taste. Let your senses pull you back.

And if grounding techniques help you get through the day but don't help you understand why you need them, we can help with that too.

Some days you wake up feeling bright. Some days feel heavier. And that’s completely okay.

Your “inner weather” can change, just like the sky does. Foggy mornings, heavy days, and small moments of hope are all part of being human.

This World Wellbeing Week, we’re reminding our community that however you are feeling today is valid. You do not have to carry it alone.

Whether you're looking for someone to talk to, practical support, or just to know you're not the only one — we're here. Safe, inclusive, and ready to listen.

What's your inner weather today? Comment below, or reach out. Support matters. 💙

We did it. Together, we raised £100,000. 🎉

A huge thank you to every person who donated, shared, supported, and stood with us during our Champions for Children 2026 campaign🙏.

Reaching this target is not just a fundraising milestone. It means we can continue strengthening access to counselling and emotional wellbeing support for children and young people in London who need safe, timely care.

We are truly grateful for every donation and every act of support that helped us get here. None of this would have been possible without our community.

Over the coming months, we will keep you updated on the impact of the funds raised and how your support is helping children and young people receive care sooner.

From all of us at Women’s Consortium, thank you. 💜

£21,584 raised. 27 people donated. 5 days left.

We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us so far.

Now we need to go further.

Our counselling is free for children and young people, but delivering it safely requires funding for sessions, administration, safeguarding and clinical supervision.

Help us reach more children who need emotional wellbeing support.

Every penny counts for children. Every donation is matched, doubling your impact.
